personally i would say it was one spot for utd,liverpool,spurs,everton(maybe) saints(maybe) to fight it out for. i do see arsenal getting 3rd, unless they get sidetracked and have a good run in cl.
I think it's one spot for Liverpool or Man Utd. Southampton will fall away at some point, there's always one surprise team that does this. Everton and Spurs will fight it out for sixth and a potential EL spot
Every year they get side tracked - Not due to doing well in the CL, usually due to injuries and bad form. They'll just about snatch 4th as usual. So the above teams for me are in a fight for 3rd, 5th and 6th. I'm going for - Liverpool 3rd Southampton 5th Man Utd 6th Spurs and Everton could end up 9th and 10th tbh - they look even more toothless than we do, and we have our main striker to come back, and we have a far superior squads to both of theirs.
Saints may well fall away but I can't see Liverpool finishing 3rd. As for will Brendan learn anything? Nope. Toure should play and he should have been there since the start of the season and with him there Lovren would play much better. Skrtl only played well because he had Toure shouting non stop at him and several times Toure saved him too. Rodgers has not got the balls to drop Gerrard even though as shown the other night he is a hinderence to any team aiming for the top of the Prem. He has had his day and been 'carried' by nostalgic press and fans for the past 2 or 3 years!!! He scored 1 late free kick the other week and the headlines were 'Gerrard silences critics who say he's past it'. What for taking a free kick and scoring? How about assessing the other 90+ minutes!! My suggestion for your best team: ----------------Mignolet---------------- Manquillo--Toure----Lovren---Moreno ----------Henderson---Lucas----------- ----------------Coutinho---------------- -----Sterling--------------Lallana------ ----------Balotelli / Lambert----------- Those front 4 have to be fluid and not a rigid striker with 3 attacking mids behind him. Balotelli, Sturridge and Lambert are all strikers that are best as part of an attacking unit and struggle to be loan strikers.
it proved we're better with Gerrard in the side. as much as one match can proven anything. and we should have played Kolo more this season and Lucas still has a role to play and we need to buy another striker and Markovic needs time to settle in and Mig, despite being flappy on crosses is an excellent shot stopper (he has been quite good recently)
Toothless? We're the 4th highest scorers in the division and have scored nearly 50% more than your tally ffs. You're hanging all your hopes on the return of a striker who's only ever available 60% of the time. As for your squad being far superior, not based on the actual evidence it isn't. Your squad looks full of over priced, over rated kelt to me.
