If we the fans are up for it and our players are up for it, I don't think Citeh will be. I hope we make them really uncomfortable in the cauldron of Loftus Road.
Despite immeasurable improvement over the last 3 games, I still think our intensity is not at the level required for a small team to survive at the top level. We have to up it another notch if we're going to have a chance of turning the likes of City over. This is where Black should be earning his money. Controlled aggression is what he should be drumming into their heads.
I'm not sure I agree with the Steve Black bit, but I suppose to a degree he is another tool to be utilised along with the rest of the staff that make up the backroom team in modern day sport. However I agree with the rest of it. Hard work, Shape, Skill, Determination, Teamwork and the right mindset applied at the same moment in time will set you up to achieve a common goal. Let's hope they're up for it. Should we get a result on Saturday it can really set us up for the rest of the season.
I was more confident this time yesterday.... alucky win last night, against the run of play...and I would have been happy and confident. But now beware the "dead cat bounce"...(did I make that up or is that for real.) On Saturday, we need to hit them early, do not allow them to settle, a bit of early pressure, luck and a goal and we can win The longer it goes on, they will grow into it. More worried than I was...sorry boys
It's almost like flicking a switch when City play in Europe, they seem to go into self destruct mode. I expect a a completely different side and mentality on Saturday, but if we go for the from the off then who knows what might happen.
I dont expect much from saturday. City played yesterday their worst match for ages and probably they will bounce back and will be much better on saturday. We just have to play our match of the season to get something from that match.
So far this season, probably fair to say that 'lady luck' hasn't really helped us SO, l'd like order a double dose for us this weekend, just for good measure.
We'll probably lose at Newcastle so we nearly need a win on Saturday. We've put ourselves in this position by not beating Hull and Stoke
ManC is still miles better team than Newcastle and althought our match is at St. James Park i prefer our chances there more than against City at home...
