Its strange for Sterling and Hendo who play every game and have done little wrong. Coutinho hasn't done much wrong and he's been in form of late but rarely plays ninety minutes and is often used from the bench. The rest wasn't sudden, it should have been done a long time ago. Maybe Newcastle push BR over the edge? Guess we'll find out come Saturday.
This is a good fair post I'd say this is what we should be going with come Saturday: Migs Mankiller - Decision 1 - Toure - Moreno Lucas Hendo - Can Sterling - - - - - Decision 2 Borini Decision 1: Skrtel or Lovren. Both have been poor, both have positives and negatives. 50:50 call IMO. Depending which one we go with depends which side Toure plays; Skrtel is better as a RCB, Lovren LCB. Toure is best at RCB IMO so maybe thats the decision maker? Decision 2: Lallana or Coutinho. Coutinho has been the form player for us of late but always seems to play better coming off the bench. Lallana as the work ethic so if we wanted to keep thing tight for an hour he'd be the choice. I'd go with Lallana in the above formation for this game. However, if we go with Coutinho then I'd switch to the diamond and push Sterling up top leaving Coutinho in the hole. Obviously Studge would replace Borini once fit. In reality, Brod will play this team... Migs Johnson - Skrtel - Lovren - Moreno Gerrard Hendo - Allen Sterling - - - - - Lallana Balotelli ...and we'll lose again
