They've been getting progressively less good but judging the series as a whole that was still an excellent episode given some of the ****e they served up in seasons 2 and 3 especially. As has been pointed out it's just narrative development to edge the plot along. Hopefully it will pick up pace and excitement again soon.
I didn't think it was that bad. If it was explosions and mass zombie slaughter every week it would get boring pretty fast. I really liked Season 2 myself, except for episodes 4,5 and 6 which could have been cut as they did nothing to progress the plot. Season 3 was the worst season imo, first 4 episodes really good, then it became a slog to watch. I miss Shane tho, he was an awesome character.
Would've been good if they'd kept Shane alive and had him in a subplot completely away from Rick's group, either on his own or with another group. The things they could've done with him would've been badass.
I watched the 3rd ep of Gotham - I'm not impressed, so won't be watching any more. It's so amateur, and Harvey [Donal Logue] reminds me of Mickey Rourke in the Hero music video. The best actor is the little lad who was good in Touch as well. Does anyone watch Graceland?
The third wasn't great, easily the poorest of the four so far. The fourth episode is much better though
I do know what you mean, its had a slow start and needs to get going still. I'll persist for now but I'm hoping it doesn't go like Smallville
I watched some of Smallville Season 4 or 5 can't remember, that was ok because it centred around a main character. I think if you can't take to certain actors then you're never going to like the thing you're watching and that's the producers/writers responsibility to make you buy into the story and the characters.
Gotham is a pile of steaming ****e. There as soooooo many better series. SKY on demand box sets have some absolute crackers on their at the monet. Why waste your time, when you could be watching something so mych better I've been getting into 'The Blacklist' - nice and easy to get into and perfect after a hard days work Here's the first season trailer: The great thing about it is each episode almost stands alone, but with an ongoing story behind it all I've seen some critics give Gotham 4 or 5 out of 10. I watched 2 episodes and have to admit with the critics, it's utter ****e. Apparentely it doesn't get much better either!!
I guess it depends on the person watching. Arrow and The Flash aren't exactly award winning TV series material but I love them both. I like the idea Gotham is based on so I'm willing to give it more time yet. If I wasn't prepared to give a series time, I would never have watched Breaking Bad as I wasn't that keen after three or four episodes. I stuck with it and it turned out to be brilliant and sits at number one in my ratings list. whether you liked BB or not, the point still stands
I've just finished season four of Lost. Really enjoyed watching it but season three was definitely the peak so far. Season four was good still but I can see it all going downhill from here now they've "moved" the island
That's what I'm expecting now. Was getting with in season four and I'd even say before seeing the final two seasons that it would have been a good time to call it a day with how it ended (not including the coffin / Locke bit)
I enjoyed BB very much, however due to all the hypw about it - I must say I was sligtly let down, but yeah it was very good. Going back to Gotham - It may well turn out to be good. But when TV critics give is 4's and 5's it does make me wonder. Watch The Blacklist FFS I'm not saying The Blacklist is up there with the likes of The Wire, Sopranos etc etc etc. But it's well worth a watch because it's a nice easy watch in the evening, when you're tired and can't be arssed with elaborate story lines to follow. I was just on sky box sets seeing what I could give a go and went for it. I was hooked after s1 e2 - each episode is 42minuts, so easy to get 4 or 5 in during the evening! First season has 23 episodes and season 2 is now playing on Living HD (but it's on catch up).
Will add it to my list I'm watching five (WD, Gotham, Arrow, The flash and Lost) at the minute so don't want to add anything else. I said above that having watched the finale to season four of Lost, they should have ended it there as it could only possibly go downhill after that. However, I watch the first four episodes of season five last night keeping my up until about 1am, I couldn't turn it off
Wow , Except for WD, all those shows are really, really bad imo! Well, actually I haven't seen the Flash, admittedly, but its a spin off of Arrow right? And Arrow was turd so..... Lost I would probably rate as one of the worst TV creations known to man, How to completely **** up a story narrative 101. Gotham, watched first 3 episodes.....nah..... All the best shows are ending or have ended Except Game of Thrones Oh and Shameless USA.
