Wouldn't it be lovely if both Chelsea and Man City dropped down to the Europa League? Or would it be better for us if they concentrated on the CL?
Chelsea - CL : They will go all out to win this City - Europa : More likely to stay in it longer and thursday - sunday disrupts rhythm
The sooner Arsenal and Liverpool are out, the better. Albeit ideally with the Europa League as "compensation". The last thing we want is a Spurs scenario where we finish 4th, but are denied qualification into the CL because someone outside the top four has somehow managed to win the thing! (I can't see Chelsea or City finishing outside the top four, so they are free to progress and keep their fixture lists busy - not that it appears City will progress!!)
Toure and Fernandinho both deciding that a league match against us is more important than a CL match against Bayern Munich, so both get themselves a rest ahead of our game.
For a referee who has an iffy game to say the least, that Aguero dive was one of the best penalty call's I have ever seen a referee get right. Looked 100% nailed on penalty live.
Six months ago, Pellegrini lead City to the PL title. In six month's time (if not before), he's probably getting the sack. It's what modern day football for the Man City's of the world has become.
Hopefully the videos of City's recent escapades against CSKA and West Ham are safely stored for analysis in our black box and the staff are carefully analysing how we can make them cave in when they come to St. Mary's. We have been robbed against them in recent seasons and some revenge will be nice
City can still go through, so they will be fighting, plays into our hands. Blood n thunder against Bayern on that fateful Tuesday.
And there morale could be shattered by that game... Downside is that Fernandinho and Toure get a rest due to suspension Up side of that is it gives Aguero even more to do (+ may be forced to try and rush Silva back too early)
All jokes aside, people are suggesting their manager is on the brink but who would they get in as a replacement. I can't think of any stand out candidates at the level they will be looking at
