Having got us to a great position prior to the opening of the training ground, the team have to continue the job on Saturday. Don't let us down, boys, mustn't let those nasty City boys taking our rightful spot. :)

I'm well aware we don't have a sarcastic smiley. You read my comment about it the other day. The 3 dots usually suggest someone is unable to see an image.

    And what's this you lot..?

Find anything that I, or for that matter, many of the other posters on here have said that derided Les Reed. I'm assuming the best from certain others, but for me, you can go through my previous posts until your eyes ache. You won't see a post openly criticising Les Reed from me.

As for the sarcastic smiley, as I said, you often make big use of the tongue-in-cheek one. :p

Ok, I'll accept what you say again, but you really can't make throwaway comments and expect to be taken seriously at other times. I know you are dyslexic, but please try to be clearer.

i find winky or tongue out tend to do the job. i do find though that the smiley i want is never in the first few available and i have to go through the laborious task of clicking through to a big window of them to find the appropriate one.

What's me being dyslexic got anything to do with you not getting I was being sarcastic? DTLW got it straight away. Just because I am dyslexic does not give you the right to bring it up every time you think wrongly of what I post.

Anyways that's leave it here I don't want to ruin a good thread by arguing.

Well, if it matters to anyone, my first impression to beefy's post was 'he doesn't really think that about Reed, he's got to be joking'. It was maybe written in a manner that someone not familiar with beefy might get an impression he was being serious, but I believe most of us regulars here got it was sarcasm.

I assumed sarcasm because it didn't make sense! :)

Anyway, great stuff. Pride is growing all the time!

I thought Ralph's speech was a fitting tribute to Markus.

load of heartfelt passion? load of fitting tributes to the old owner? load of belief?

All of the above probably. Bit harsh Al and sometimes I think there are occasions when if nothing positive can be said, then nothing should be said. I think Ralph delivered today.

I liked the modesty and reserved nature of Katherina, but felt Ralph thought he was giving a speech at a political podium. I note your opinions, and apologise if you thought I was inappropriate.

He's obviously well liked, and certainly respected, but when he speaks in all his 'management jargon' and cliches, I find it easy to switch off.

He was to a degree. Saints fans will generally have received his speech with a swelling heart and a sense of pride. But it was also directed at the millions of neutrals watching on TV who hopefully will see us as an underdog who can genuinely challenge the boring monopoly of clubs we've seen at the top of the table. Lastly, he was sending a very direct threat to the big four; don't try and **** us cos we're not going to roll over easily.

Not offended Al, just thought it was a bit harsh. Everyone delivers their message in different ways and Ralph's today seemed from the heart.

I have also liked the way the humble scarf has become a 'symbol' of Markus officially now. That seems well done. I wonder where the scarf will be.

Sorry AL, but Ralph set exactly the right tone today. I loved the story about Markus' mother wondering every time Markus went out the door whether he was going to the corner shop or to South America. And management jargon isn't normally delivered with the passion with which Ralph spoke today.
