Where is it? Joe Royle left as quickly as he arrived and has not been replaced. Why is this? Surely if Adams himself was aware he required a 'father-figure' to mentor him and the club agreed to this, the gap the former Oldham and Everton man left behind should have been filled. I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned (or if it has, I haven't seen nor heard it). It's clear to me Adams needs someone to help him because he isn't learning quickly enough.
Household name rent a boss figures don't guarantee success, i have some mates who are die hard Leicester fans and 2 seasons ago they were calling for Pearson to be axed. This is a hard league and we got relegated because our attack was pathetic, our defense was pretty bad too. If we finish in the top 6 Adams has done the minimum required. The binners are over the moon to be 1 point ahead of us and that speaks volumes. Give him a whole season and if we fail to finish top 6 then fire him. Middlesboro are a good side and we had an off day.
For me, if Martin keeps being used at CB and Whittaker keeps starting I will have to ask questions of Neil. I can't see how you could look back at the games with had and still think it's working out.
but that doesn't answer my question 23. why, if in pre season he and the club felt he needed an experienced helper, have we not brought in someone else? it seems clear to me that any help from somebody who has been in this situation before would benefit adams and given he obviously wanted that help in the summer, I'm confused as to why it's not the case now he's struggling
Maybe the rumours of mcnally wanting him to be someones number 2 are true and maybe that would have been the best move. We will wait and see, but perhaps he does need a bit of experience around him during the difficult times
