I think we are getting to the stage Eire where someone is really gong to cop a hiding. Adryan is our long-awaited attacking play maker. He just neeeds to get fitter. Doukara needs to play for the team a bit more. Pearce must be getting worried as Cooper played well last night despite over a month's lay off & Warnock had a storming game at LB wearing the captain's armband. We have a very young midfield. Can't help feeling that Tonge or Austin might need to come in occasionally just to give it a bit more experience.
Possibly, hopefully but dont forget Charlton are a poor outfit that will br bottom half at end of season. Our lads will have far stiffer tests and will need to up their games a lot more. Also, whats this crap of not being able to play two halves of a game. Every single game were ****e in either first or second half and the odd day when were ****e in both
Dont make mistake I made shaks, I read that felt great then read Glorys report. That was a big mistake
We was robbed. Also, nice to see heads staying up after conceding. Went straight back at them and performance level stayed high
I think Jock and Glory had a difference of opinion a couple of months back Jocky all possitive and Glory all doom and gloom and as much as it pains me to say it Glory got it spot on cos you havnt won a game since I think jock must go to watch Middlebro by mistake
If we don't beat blackpool I hope none of you are satisfied with a performance. You all seem to be forgetting football is a results business's.
Bellusci is Mr Marmite, as I said. I can understand who some dislike him. I love him. We'll never agree. The interesting this is what Redders said on the radio last night. The interviewer (Popey, I think) put forward that as Bellusci is suspended on Saturday, we can expect to see Pearce paired up with Cooper. He seemed to be caught out a little by this & very strangely (IMO) said that it was possible, but he had other players challenging for a berth, so 'they'd' need to sit down & think about what they were going to do. Not sure what to make of this. He could be trying to up the confidence of Wooton, or it could be that he's not very happy about either Cooper or Pearce. As you've probably guessed, I'm hoping it's a concern about Pearce rather than Cooper. Who knows, we might get a wee surprise on Saturday!
Glory, I draw your attention to my overall summary: Bottom line - take away the 2 crazy goals, we'd all be turning cartwheels after watching that. We're not there yet, but we're making good progress. I agree that the attacking was at times ponderous. No question about it. But it still delivered 2 goals. Remember that we're a work in progress. People are still adjusting to being in a new team/country etc., & the 'homers' are getting used to a passing game that is alien to us, & they've got loads to learn about. Is that your only criticism? We're shiite because we only scored 2 goals? We would have won 2-0 with an impressive performance (i.e. huge improvement) if it was not for an unusual mistake by the keeper & a dodgy penalty decision. Are you ristac in disguise?
We've only got 4 loanees. It won't be the end of the world if they do go. Plenty more where they came from.
Hi Boggers, see my earlier post re. CB selections. We might have a wee surprise coming. Warnock does look a better captain than Pearce, but then who wouldn't? Leave Bianchi alone though - he's as good as he has ever been, it's just that the others are learning what to do from him & he doesn't stand out in the same way that he did. Still covers more ground than anyone, and is our best off the ball player. Sharpe & austin were injusred & may be in contention for Saturday, according to Redders. Morison had the flu.
Worrying I don't quite get these constant references? I look at facts, we haven't won a match in 8 games, we sit 2 points above relegation with teams below us improving and looking far better than us and we have an owner who likes to interfere far too much. Not to mention he is a B/S of the first degree and the positive percy's alow it all to go over their heads that he hasn't brought the ground back while pocketing the Ross money Honestly, how on earth some fans are remaining positive is beyond me.
I don't mean to be rude here, Ristac, but you're attacking the club I love. On what basis do you come to your conclusions? Is it what radio commentary tells you? Or the occasional tv match. Seen them in the flesh regularly? How do you know we're one dimensional? What does that even mean? And what makes you think we haven't improved? We most certainly have! We're not the finished article, but we're getting there. Don't forget, Cellino has got rid of most of our dross. What he's bringing in is young kids with potential. Lot of work to do with them, but thay are the future. For once, we have players that are prospects! Gone are the days of the old has-beens looking for a last payday. So what's wrong with that? you expecting a magic wand? And stop going on about the stadium purchase. There is clearly a problem with GFH that is fundamental to our future & must be resolved before he can progress. And how dare you suggest that a man who has invested so much in our club would trouser the McContract money? Why? He's poured far, far more into the club to a) buy it & b) pay of inherited debts that came to light after the sale? What you have suggested is actually libellous & without foundation. It makes me really, really angry to hear such an accusation. It goes beyond simple moaning. It's an unwarranted attack. And as for chucking him out & leaving us open to a quick sale to God knows who! Are you for real?
Who exactly are these Italian kids that you talk about? Please detail. And the reason we brought foreign players in is that we pay them much less than a UK equivalent would expect.
Eire, take note. Glory provided zero detial, just a general opinion. I would be happy to see him lay out some detail so we could discuss. He just sounded bitterly disappointed to me & had a rant. We'll see what he comes up with ....
1) I have seen us on Satellite 5 times this season, I have watched highlights, I listen to live commentary, I look at RESULTS 2) One dimensional - We have no plan B we have no width, teams work out how to play against us and how to beat us 3) No wins in 8 games 4) We have improved on last years performance BUT if we were playing to last years standard we would be rock bottom have no doubt about that. 5) Four of the 'kids' he has brought in are on loan, we have seen one play, all 4 will probably go back at the end of the season. 6) So easy to blame GFH - Last year we would all blame Bates for anything bad, let's just accept Cellino is telling the truth and blindly believe his word. 7) I dare say he has pocketed the money and I will say it again. 8) Are we losing money or making it, conflicting reports about how much Cellino has put in, he has certainly sacked a lot of people. 9) I dare say I hope he gets chucked out and I will repeat it again How many players have we supposedly went to sign and lost out on. Each time Cellino blames paperwork, he blamed paperwork on his delay of taking us over. He is an arrogant man who plays up to the fans winning them over with wise words. He is claiming that he re-nogotiated the terms of his purchase/loan/payment to GFH and that they agreed but have not signed the paperwork. Well anyone would tell you in business it isn't worth anything until signed so is Cellino blackmailing GFH into signing the re-nogotiated terms? Cellino promised to buy back Elland Road BEFORE he supposedly re-negotiated these terms, a blind fool can see that he is telling porkies.
Ristac, people are only messing with you, I don't think anyone is being vindictive towards you. I'm certainly not in the positive camp, realistic camp maybe. I said it after Cellino took over that I wasn't happy with his signings. But there ain't nothing we can do about.
