When I saw the team selection, I phoned saintanton and left a voicemail "We're going to get arseraped".

What I witnessed was probably the most committed display of the season and as MITO has tirelessly been pleading, they properly got stuck in. We may have come away with no points, but that could just have been a watershed for a number of reasons. Well done, boys. You were a credit to the great shirt.

Feel free to merge. Just had to have a Matth moment <laugh>

  2. Completely agree. Yes we lost but the effort, commitment to the cause and fight was there <ok>

I am also very proud of that team. I hope the senior players who were left out feel ashamed of their recent performances this morning and take note of what the club needs them to do themselves.

I also hope that the players who starred last night get plenty more opportunities, and possibly even a cemented place in the team.

I heard that later on- I just thought you were off to a normal night out at the Cheese.

I agree- Same score as the weekend, but the contrast between that performance and the travesty against the Nukes couldn't be greater.
Just a pity we're too tentative in the last third, I was really hoping we could nick a point.

an RHC article on football.... nobody can merge this!

We have to admit as realists is Real played within themsevles and we lacked actual quality but the reaosn you've given to be proud is true. At least they put a small bit of pride back in the shirt.

I think others have said (gerrez?) what will rodgers do next. There are lads IMO who shouldn't get a shirt at the club now. we all know who they are.

Ever thought you made madrid play within themselves? Jnstead of just giving madrid all tge credit for stifling their game?

You packed the midfield and cut off ronaldos supply. Thats half the battle. You didnt have an outlet though so you couldnt get the other half of the battle right. Real were reduced to pot shots in the end. Thats not because they were holding back but because liverpool frustrated them.

I'm not proud, I think that the team performed well against a very good side but so they should when wearing that shirt. What they did was the minimum I expect and that is to put in the required efforet needed to be a Liverpool player. A step in the right direction is what I saw last night.

  12. I sort of agree with this but that's why its a performance to be proud of. It saw the return of the Liverpool work ethic and that's the reason I like the club so much so yes, I feel proud about that performance. I am 100% satisfied about it? No, we lost! But the performance was much more in liking with what I expect. The telling time is coming, don't bottle it Brod!!!

Is that what we've been getting this season, bar Spurs? No. If we'd played with that level of commitment with our best team from last season, we'd have twatted RM home AND away. A definite ****ing improvement in attitude and team ethic. just take it, sheep-boy <laugh>

Don't get me wrong I'm a lot happier with the performance and hope that kind of level continues.

Not sure why people are laughing at you and i do like to laugh at you. You played a weakened side sure but was it really weaker. Midfield looked better and toure put in tge best performamce of any cb you have.

Brentan could do no worse that the same team with sterling v chelsea.

You feeling alright UiR? Surely the worlds coming to an end!
I'll admit, I do feel a bit dirty, the other night I had a chat with my United supporting nephews and said they were damn unlucky not to get anything against City and thought they were the better team, even with ten men!
I'm off to have a shower!

Fully expected a hammering for you lot. Was looking forward to poking fun over it but in the end you didnt do too badly.

Not sure why it will reflect badly on rodgers should chelsea hammer you. If anything it will reflect on tye returning players (assuming they start of course).

I think sterling should have played though. He would have been your outlet and injected pace.
