Ive already pointed out to u that im not baiting at length. Ur the only one who seems to think that im baiting, im npt sure why, but there seems to be nothing i can do to change ur mind, so i wont respond to these clsims again. And making a relevant point twice in 2 days on the same thtead is hardly a btoken record.
As A87 said, even though Wenger needs to take responsibility for playing Monreal at CB, I don't think Wenger is to blame for last night's collapse. He set the team up well, they scored 3 goals and were coasting. It is down to individuals switching off defensively that cost us last night.
I missed their last 2 goals but the 1st was way offside! But we got whst we deserved for not defending tgeir breaks properly. I would have thought flamini would have helped as i thought we werent mobile enough in the centre, even tho arteta played well. I just cant believe how out of form and poor flamini has gone!
Flamini isn't mobile enough to cover the areas he needs to. But to be fair to him it was players like Ramsey, Cazorla, and Rosicky who should have been back there helping him out instead of bombing forward trying to 'score one more'
First one was a joke, he was miles offside and the ref, lino and that gimp on the touchline all missed it. Second was a dumb move from Monreal, he got turned and tried to grab the attackers shoulders to hold him back Third was stupid from the team for being up the pitch instead of back defending, stopping crosses and preventing them from passing the ball forwards.
It was, Wenger was rightly 'annoyed, and disappointed' with his players for their complete negligence at letting that lead slip. He will get the flak for it, but his players owe him big time after this.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29362790 yeah totally pointless aint he . Talk about short memories . I guess it WAS 2 weeks ago. Yeah lets blame a striker , with 20 mins on the pitch for shipping 3 goals.
I posted a link which you watched and commented on . It shows that half of all his goals for us were headers . so .......more bollox . situation normal. He won the game 2 weeks ago and you are criticising him now for last night . Its no wonder he wants out with "fans" like you . Ramsey gets 2 seasons of support . Podolski .....2 weeks.
The players change though and we always have the same problem. We've been awful defensively ever since Campbell left the first time
We were very good defensively last season though - and if we'd had a natural DM IMO we'd have been excellent.
fuckin Sanchez........all hes good for is scoring . Whats the point of scoring if you are not going to be prepared to do the defenders jobs as well . He should never play again . pfft
I recognise your sarcasm but Sanchez does track back and does defend from the front. While I think people's problem with Podolski is that while he's got a good shot, he doesn't work for the ball, make space for others ect and as he doesn't track back and leaves large holes behind him - frequently his negatives can outweigh his positive contributions. Which is such a shame...
Yeah that was the problem. So annoying as everything else was positive, but when it really mattered we got trounced!
Conceding 17 goals in 3 games to the three best teams in the league does not constitute a 'very good' defence. When it really, really, really needs to be... our defence is not all that great.
Yeah, Our defence is clearly not of the required standard. I think out first choice back four is decent but not great. Monreal shouldn't be anywhere near the Centreback position. I still think our biggest issue is DM though. Flamini is all over the place - the guy runs a lot but his positioning and recovery is terrible. Arteta is a good midfielfder, very reliable on the ball but he lacks athleticism. With a Lars Bender type shielding the back four I think we would not only benefit defensively, I also think Ozil would benefit tremendously as he can play his natural game.
Pod was not the problem last night. A striker was brought on and asked to defend - that's just awful man management. Where was the CB to come off the bench and close the game out? The extra defensive player to put in the middle (Rosicky was played wide)? Even a RB or LB would have done. Pod shoulders none of the blame or last nights abysmal capitulation, that lies squarely at the feet of one man.
