The club look set to pay up the balance of Anderson's contract and get rid of him if we don't find a buyer in the next transfer window. The guy obviously had talent - surely £60k per week is sufficient incentive for any young player to keep trim and kick a bloody ball around - what a waster. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ws-Andersons-contract-could-be-cancelled.html
Best get shut of him. Had plenty of chances under SAF, and would have 1 good game (good, not exceptional) and then several where he was below average. Has to be a big disappointment, but if you dont put in a decent shift, don't expect special treatment.
Anyone know why you would pay to terminate someone's contract? If you are paying the same amount, would it not seem logical to at least have them as a backup instead of off the books entirely? Disappointing tenure at the club, thought he would be the better player out of the Nani/Anderson deals...
Instead of terminating clubs offer mutual termination in some cases, which pay out a portion of the remaining money (typically 50%). This way the players can look for a new club and the club saves 50% of their expenses, albeit up front instead of over time...
Thanks for explaining, that could be interesting to see whether Anderson would be willing to accept those terms.
