Dont like the dance but more than happy to cringe while celebrating. Much prefer him to do the moonwalk if im honest. I'd have to show him how to do it properly though ;)

You avoided a drubbing because Madrid didn't bring their shooting boots - 27 shots to 4....

If that's a reason to celebrate then enjoy it mate.....

How many of them shots were from outside the box though?

We could have had more than 4 shots if we had shot every time we got within 40 yards of goal (admittedly that would probably have only gone up by about 2 though <laugh>)

Point is, shot stats on their own mean nothing.

This ain't FIFA Tobes, they had 4 realistic chances to score and migs made a few decent saves so fair game

We could of had 10+ shots if we learnt to let our hair down and shoot, but who gives a **** - we got to play Real Madrid tonight in the CL <ok>

The keeper had a good game mate, as did Toure and Lucas, I just don't get the celebration of a defeat that could have easily been a twatting.

    Later fella <ok>

Not celebrating, just perspective - just played the best club team on earth at present away from home - they are actively twatting everyone but we didn't get humiliated with a much changed side so can't be too down beat

That was the best I've ever seen Borini in an LFC shirt. He's not a finisher, but at least he had some energy and movement and looked interested. Balotelli isn't a finisher atm either and he's a lazy, stupid batard so I would have Borini ahead of him from now on. He suits the style better.

Toure played well too. He actually looked solid and convincing. He's not capable of that consistently though.

I know we lost which is far from a good result and Real were the better team but had a mediocre night, but I was surprised by the performance, we showed some resilience and we took it too Real, just currently we still don't have that cutting edge in the final third. Our striking options are all **** especially since the main man is currently wearing a 'fragile handle with care' sticker. We also weren't pressing them enough when we were off that ball. Couldn't tell if that was because they were still too fluid and fit even playing at 70% or if our players weren't doing their jobs properly.

People on TalkChimp talking about us disrespecting the CL and the Liverpool way by playing a 'weaker' side. Was that our weaker side? That's the question I'm asking. They did a better job than the team we put out at home against these. For me Balotelli should never, never, never start for us again. Sell him in Jan, it's the best option. It hasn't worked.

I'm not happy about Markovic, he's constantly a passenger and the rest of the team is carrying him whenever he plays. Don't know if that's youth or if he's just ****. Right now I don't think he has a future with us.

The other thing is about our long range shooting... who is telling the players that it's alright to be going for speculative efforts from 30 yards out?? Something up with the coaching there. Maybe a couple were desperation attempts since we couldn't get in behind RM's back line. Thought Sterling was playing too deep when he came on which didn't help the cause there.

Actually I think Rodgers just didn't want to give Real the same look at us tonight. They've put three past the team he put out against them at our digs so if gives them the same look at us at Bernabeu then how many are they going to be thinking they'll put past us at their own digs. Inclined to think that was one of his thought processes in the build up. I mean Madrid are at their training ground preparing thinking we're going to come at them with the big players, throw everything at them to try and get revenge, then they look at tonight's team sheet and think wtf??
