You only apologised because you didn't get the reaction you expected. The Liverpool fans thought it was distasteful and didn't jump on board your bandwagon. That was embarrassing but also enlightening.
No, I apologised to the Everton fans not the Liverpool fans. Because the initial report said Everton fans had been rioting and attacked by police, I jumped the gun and posted before all the facts had come out. Then an hour later it came out that they had been attacked by 100 hooded frenchmen and were then tear gassed. "My bandwagon"? Scraping the barrel now mate.
I'm in two minds on Wenger. On the one hand, back in the late 90s and early 00s when he had the budget to buy big Arsenal were as big a challenge to us as Chelsea and City have been over the past decade. And that was only when he had financial parity with Utd, rather than the massive financial superiority Chelsea and City have enjoyed. And even since 2005 when he's had his hands tied he has kept Arsenal in the top four when clubs like Liverpool and Newcastle have fallen way back at the first sign of financial limitations. On the other hand, his financial restrictions have been overestimated imo - he still has the fourth largest budget in the league after Utd, Chelsea and City, so finishing fourth every year is arguably just meeting expectations. And only one trophy in nine years isn't great when you consider other teams have won the same with less money. I think he's bought too much into the success on a shoestring budget idea, and now refuses to spend the money he needs to, even when he has it available. Personally I don't question his tactics or training, but rather his choice of players. He's never really bought or developed a true leader with the necessary leadership and mental strength to drive the team to success. He inherited Parlour, Keown, Adams et al, and whilst Vieira and Campbell were decent leaders they weren't mentally strong enough imo - other teams have managed to get at them and knock them off their stride too easily. But Wenger not only refuses to fix this, he refuses to acknowledge it as a problem. Which is why I don't think Arsenal will ever win the league again with him in charge. Even with all the quality players he signs, the team as a whole will lack the leadership to remain successful and consistent for the whole season.
The comment on Wenger over training players is absolute rot. He does the complete reverse, all of his training is with the ball. His success at Arsenal was built on a back line that was already there, and once it went he's never been able to replicate it.
Maybe you should look again at the defence in the 2003/4 season, all players bought or taken through the ranks by wenger Lauren, campbell, toure, cole
My view on Arsenal is that they are a class act and have been for a long time. They will be for as long as Wenger is in charge. When he leaves, they'll have the same turbulence (probably a bit less ) suffered by United. Arsenal are in the same group of clubs as Chelsea City and United. The group just below will include the RS Spurs Everton Newcastle.
Whatever it is he is doing, its wrong. Their injury record speaks for itself, they are so far ahead on the injury count it aint even funny. Top by a country mile
RS looking forward to meeting Ronaldo and his mates. #prayforthem Further humiliation cannot be good for the image of the EPL.
To be fair to Bodanki - when he posted it, very little details had been released. He didn't know a tenth of what actually happened. Yes it backfired, but we all know he wouldn't have posted it knowing all the details. He's not that kind of person.
I think Shteve thinks everyone is a **** on here - maybe reflects his own shortcomings?? He clearly didn't read through your thread properly or look at the time that you posted it, and came to the conclusion you were mocking an incident that was out of order from the French. But hey ho I guess Shteve will be Shteve - can you expect anything different from someone that can't spell their own name properly?
European Royalty? European sewage more like. What a bunch of a cowards. Surrendering before a match. No English team has done this. There is no dishonour in playing your best and lose against the best team in the world away. But there is in cowardice and hoisting the white flag BEFORE a match. European ****.
Crap game. Real coasted it. Liverpool played OK to be fair to them. Wish I'd watched the Arsenal game instead!
Cheers Zippy, stick to posting pictures of your tats and ****ing over what a quality signing Balotelli was.
