Very happy with the performance, thought we would get absolutely thumped. Everyone tried very hard, thought Moreno was fantastic btw, everyone ran their socks off but Moreno for me was brilliant. Manquillo is so much better than Johnson and I hope we get him on a permanent deal at the end of his loan spell. Toure was solid, as was Lucas and Allen. Borini done well up too by himself too. Of course well done to Real, Varane is a great defender too, very quick
Gerrard used off the bench worked well, he could be a very important player for us but he should not start every game. I really hope Rodgers keeps Lucas in the team.

If Stevie had started the defence would have been far more open and Real would have had better and clearer chances and probably won by more than 1.
