Arsenal just gave up a 3 goal lead didn't they? We shouldn't be nervous when we go up there in a few weeks then, should we?
You'd of thought Liverpool lost 8-0 if you were on twitter earlier, very respectable result. Resting players for the game against Chelsea looks like a better decision now.
Good outcome that for us. Prevents Arsenal from qualifying just yet. And their next game is against Dortmund, just a week before we play them. Less chance of Arsene resting one or two in that game now.
Does it really? They went to park the bus and still got nothing out of the game. If they really claim that not getting drubbed is a good result from the evening they don't deserve to be in the competition this season let alone next. Given the way their team played a couple of changes could have got them something out of the game - I am thinking Henderson and Sterling starting instead of Markovic and Allen.
As great as that be I can't see us being able to deal with Liverpool or Spurs without them insisting on us selling one of our players to them (take your pick from Morgan, Jay, Clyne, Wanyama etc) How about the big lad who equalised in the Arsenal game? 6ft 2, international colleague of Tadic. Plays in Belgium so would probably favour a premier league move. Been linked with Arsenal an City in the past though
Twas just this morning that I put on the Liverpool board that Toure was the only CB in their squad with leadership qualities and it showed tonight. Skrtl was bossed about and performed well with instructions. I suspect Lovren and Kolo would be the best formation though. Rodgers won't drop his Skrtl though. Don't understand why so many people are laughing about Toure in this thread. We don't laugh at Fonte and he isn't a top top defender but he adds more to the team that any super slick Lovren would.
