Liverpool goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi is set to join Hull City on a season-long loan. The 21-year old Hungarian is likely to further his development at the KC Stadium with the Tigers on the lookout for a new keeper after the departure of Matt Duke and the return of Brad Guzan to Aston Villa. Gulacsi spent most of last season as back-up for Anfield number one Pepe Reina whilst Brad Jones was away at Derby County but will now get his chance of regular game time in the Championship.
Good, he's a very good keeper and I think some regular game time will do him the world of good. Slightly worried about him impressing too much and someone coming in for him though, because I'd love him to be backup keeper to Reina and eventually take over from him, but I'm not sure if 1st team football came beckoning he wouldn't go for it. I hope he manages to impress, but hope he doesn't want to leave either.
############## It will be good move for him because he has to play regularly to further his development.
That is good news. He will get first-team football at Hull City and that should aid his development. Hopefully he can impress and come back to Liverpool full of confidence.
We have an excellant manager who brings on young players well. We are in serious need of a decent keeper, he fits the bill perfectly
Yeah, our club must agree with you on that aswell. We loaned Jack Hobbs & Jay Spearing to him while he was at Leicester plus Ayala, Amoo and now Gulacsi to him while at Hull.
