Nah in all seriousness, think it was more that Lambert is a local lad, BR knew he was available for cheap and we really did/do need an alternative type of striker to come off the bench if things are going to plan (like most of the season so far).

 

There looks a hell of a lot more energy in midfield without Gerrard.

I so want Rickie to do well at Liverpool, a model pro, and a great guy as well. He can score off the bench, or as a starter, but he'll never score if not picked. :-(
