This summer... signed moreno... we signed both lovern and sahko to replace agger. we signed can or the future and allana for now but neother are up to the task of playing CM.. or different reasons. we signed markovic who will replace moses fine but he's competing with ibe, sterling and lallana and wosrt of all balotelli to replace the irreplaceable. so we had a real bad summer with aspas, alberto, toure and shako coming in then nobody all all last january and now an hugely costly summer spending spree and the truth is. look back to jan 2013 and that was rodgers best side Reina wisdom skertl agger enrique (pre injury) Gerrard henderson coutinho Sterling suarez sturridge now facts are jonhson, lucas and gerrard have gone past it. agger's body has broken down and enirque is a bit average anyway but knee has gone. so lots of players were needed but we wasted the cash. so to me the answer is we are a very rich (relatively speaking) fortunately club that are amateurish in set up and toss the money around while others have to take a much more professional approach to survive. And we'll continue to waste the money flowing in cos we can... its that simple.

Flanno is our Azpilicueta. He goes about a bit unnoticed but gives a solid 8/10 each week and although isn't brilliant attacking wise (won't burst down a wing, beat a player and deliver a cross), Flanno will keep it simple and pass forward quickly to a team mate.

TBH last year was a bolt from the blue, we were playing great stuff everything seemed to come together and we probably should have won the league. This year we haven't turned up yet really, obviously Suarez is a big loss but i dont think its just him that caused the drop in our form. Rodgers really needs to do some soul searching to find out where the team ethic from last year has got to and get it back fast. The big mistakes from rodgers over the summer were not getting an experienced DM, for the CL Gerrard cant cut it there, lucas is on a sliding slope and Can is not quite there yet. You cant go away in the CL without having a decent DM especially if the team is struggling for goals. Secondly not replacing Suarez! He had the time, ok we missed a few targets, but probably did not leave himself enough money in the pot to get the player we needed, now in Jan we have to go big and if that doesn't come off it could be a difficult one to explain to the owners. Other than that i think our signings were decent, they haven't proved to be so yet but given a bit more time hopefully the team will start to gel. It wouldn't be liverpool if it wasn't a rollercoaster top 4 and a Cup would make it a v good season but we need to start getting into gear soon.
We're a better team with out so called best players not playing. Lucas>Gerrard, Borini>Balotelli, Manquillo>>>>>>>>Johnson.
