Or maybe because the teams he actually wanted to join i.e. Barca or Real weren't interested enough back then. He had no intention to join Arsenal - I can't find one quote which says he did. You can find many of him saying he wanted to leave LFC but not one in relation to Arsenal . Ah well, he signed another contract, we protected his value and we managed to get £70m for him. Hope the lad doesn't bite anyone because he will get x years ban next time which would effectively finish his career.
So they will repeat it this season at worst. Otherwise it would be a one time deal, out of the norm, against the grain.... A fluke as some might say... Its going well though so maybe you are right.
Don't think he will last at Barcelona. Looks so out of place its unreal. Seeing barcelona ignore messi is insane and doesnt work at all. Early days but hes immediately effected the star boy at barcelona. Cant see it being a long term thing.
a one time/season deal does not make it a fluke you dont get a fluke 2nd place finish over a full season of results I am a blue and would love to say it was a fluke but tbh you are being a manc version of astro by just making an argument for it just because you hate liverpool....Dont make yourself look a bulb through it lol
As soon as they better it this season or at least equal it it will show how it wasnt a fluke. While it remains another false dawn its going down as a one off season. Like Newcastles 5th place a few years ago. And ive used no statistics in my post so its nothing like astro. I also haven't made a graph. Well except for the boom bust cycle but i cant take credit for it.
You the Manc astro for sure lol they are not going to repeat it thats as obvious as you are rediculous abt a side fluking a 2nd place finish over 38 games lol
You do know he wasn't given a new contract in summer 2013 don't you. He was told he wasn't going anywhere, which is what prompted me to say what I did in that quote.
So because its a one off occurance, unlikely to be repeated and happened in part because of enournous amounts of luck its not a fluke? Lets just call it a one off occurance that wont be repeated anytime soon and leave it at that. Theres probably a word for such an event but i cant possibly imagine what it is...
Ive fluked coming second in the pool league 3 times in twelve years too. Nowhere near every other time though...
It was just you were taking about this 'one off occurrence' like it was ...... erm .... a one off occurrence ..... when ...... it isn't.
Reread the question of the thread Regardless of our position this season it has no bearing on last. We finished second last season because we had the best attack in the league. Hows that working for you? With the most expensive 11 ever assembled, ever in our league, surely you sould be beating your noisy neighbours. Or above us, or beating the mighty MK dons, or even one single away win????? You have little grounds to wum
