I don't know much about the youth side but is he really ready yet?

I'm almost as dark as you on him to be honest. I just wonder if we may have that burst of impact potentially within our ranks already. I think combinations of those we already have will probably keep the places up front quite easily. Especially as with the midfield being built dare I say it around our fair Valley faithful, might Powell play 4-5-1?

Yes, that's the kind of player I'd be thinking of. Take the point on Benson, but he's still a target man, and Hayes is more a support striker than someone who's going to bang them in regularly, so I want a pacy guy who knows where the net is more than a big donkey.

Hell-bent, I'd thought maybe CP is building a 4-5-1 formation (which personally I wouldn't have a problem with - the 451 used by PP at the start of the season before last [Burton up front with Shelvey just behind] was possibly the most exciting team of the past 3 years). But our most dangerous striker BWP, just doesn't seem to suit a 4-5-1 formation, neither would Benson who would just run around like a headless chicken, and I don't know enough about Hayes to comment.

I wouldn't mind if Popo could step in, would solve any ego problems (I.e Eccleston's twitter rants), but I'm not sure if he's ready just yet.

Popo will feature for sure in the pre-season. The kids always do. Then they disappear.

Do you think that signing Hart will put an end to all that FHB?

Excited would be an understatement for this season! Completely forgot about Hart in charge of our youth side.

WWOCB... do you feel like we're getting our Charlton back yet?

Give it a few years to see whether the majority of this squad has developed with us and is still there, that's what would be great from a squad... just checked back to 2007/8, so that's only 4 seasons ago, and the only current squad players* making an appearance were Elliott with 1 and Wagstaff with 2?! The turnover and number of loan players means you really can't feel affinity for a lot of the squads over the past 2-3 years... would love to think we're getting our Charlton back with this squad.

    * = assuming Semedo and Fortune are gone.

I agree pretty much, I think BWP would need the support but could still be effective if were playing the right way, which is what they'd look to do. But I don't have and didn't have any issues with the4-5-1, which we were actually very successful employing
