Maybe Gus knew Catts would hit a suspension and kept Rodwell under wraps to come back in against his old team. Catts is better out the team when we are at home rather than away games. We can put together a canny midfield still, Alveraz back left midfield if he is fit, don't think he is far away now. Coates is looking like another Woodgate, its a long time out with a muscle injury, could be heading to the surgeons table It's a big blow him, Jones and now PVA.
Don we have the most injury prone defensive line up in the world? Wes Brown Billy Jones Seb Coates Hopefully PVA recovers from his knock and stays strong. Often you find that one injury leads to another!!
Well here's someone who thinks he was Palace's best player... Not sure which game they were watching: http://www.fiveyearplanfanzine.co.u...ratings-and-analysis-from-selhurst-park.html? "Zaha â 7 â One bright spot, even allowing for his penchant to try and confuse one more defender when the opportunity to cross was there â look at when he did deliver the ball early, allowing two men to find space at the far post. This became more frustrating as the game wore on but he will be missed on Saturday." 18% cross success apparently - and this constitutes a Palace MOTM performance - Guess they're going down if that's their thoughts!
Rafael (x2) Jones (x2) Smalling (x2 and a suspension!) Evans (x2) Rojo, Shaw, McNair, Blackett. That's after 10 games not to mention the midfielders and attackers.
Bolasie was their man of the match, he gave everything, he's not a naturally gifted player but he grafted like it was a cup final. Zaha was one dimensional and very predictable, nowhere near good enough.
Bridcutt was brought in as a DM and can deputise but he doesn't have the same 'steel' as Cattermole and is less experienced. My guess is he will get the nod against Everton and Gus will bolster the rest of the midfield to try and protect the defence.
