    What do people think?

Considering he hasn't played since may, is 34 years old and has moved to one of the toughest leagues in the world

Personally thought he had a fantastic performance, thank god we have him now that it would appear PVA has dislocated his shoulder

Would of given him MOTM if it wasnt for Fletch's goals

He looked pretty good to me. If that's what we're getting in training, sign him up!

He looked excellent, Only remember him getting done by the pace of the game once early doors and it never happened again. Great debut for the unfit awld fella. :p

I had Pants as my man of the match, but a dodgy kick near the end meant Fletcher just shaded it for me.

A good solid pro and needed too. We shouldn't have left ourselves this short though to need to do this.

He was excellent. Looked completely composed throughout and showed a good range of passing too. Seems like a safe pair of hands which is just what we needed.

I didn't see tonight's game - had other things to do. But if this guy is as good as the posters above seem to think then write a contract out today and ask him to sign it. Don't forget that Vergini is only on loan - and he isn't going to secure a regular Argentina place scraping around the bottom. I think Vergini will eventually sign for us, but don't let's get ahead of ourselves. If Reveillere is looking good enough, take him. Now,

I'm confused... he's already signed isn't he? Unless you mean give him an extension already, which I don't agree with. He's 35 next week, for a wing back that's old. He's unlikely to be much use past the end of this season imo.

Yeah I'm pretty sure we signed him permanently as a free agent. I don't see why he would be useless at 35 if he's useful at 34 though. He's not fast and probably never has been but a solid and classy defender with a wealth of experience is always good to have around the club. Maybe he can teach Wes which goal to score in.

We signed him up for the rest of the season. But as Gary Bennett said a couple of weeks ago, Vergini is looking better every game. By the end of this season, he might get a better offer away from the bottom six where he can secure his Argentina place more easily. And that would leave us with Van Aanholt, Jones, O'Shea and Brown, with nothing at all behind it. Do you fancy that? If this feller looks decent, give him the extra year while we still have the chance.

Was up against against two fast tricky wingers throughout the game but he was never seriously troubled as it became a case of quality and experience over enthusiasm and energy. With VanA out for a while we need this guy and he is well worth signing.

He read the game very well and considering it was his debut and then switched positions, very, very well accomplished game mate. Long may it continue.

Vergini on the other hand??? Very shakey and done for pace all night.

He looked good to me, not a long term solution but is a decent stop gap until the summer.

Had a cracking game last night. Particularly for his first ever in this league in a red hot atmosphere down there (good atmosphere in Selhurst when I've been there!)

But he has only played once. Papiss Cisse scored in his first 9 games then didn;t score for around 40 games. ONne swallow and all that.

Although he does look classy - he is also 34 so "long term" is pointless. Stop Gap until the summer IMO

I thought he did well, looked experienced and comfortable on the ball.

PVA's injury could be a blessing in disguise for you lot, I can see him developing into a left winger by the way, he's much better going forward.

Wickham looked absolutely pissed out of his mind, I think he lost the ball every time he had it at his feet.

How comes Rodwell didn't get a game or even on the bench is he unfit?

Rodders Picked up a knock I heard although not 100% certain on that one as I oly heard it from a couple of lads in the club I was playing.

The french lad (as that's easier to type than his name) did very well (except for the rolling about clutching his face fopr a tiny little push - although Cattermole would've been sent off for it!)

Bridcutt did OK when he came on - but I am worried about him next week as his reading of the game isn't as good as Catts and he's going to have Barkley to deal with!
