Depends on how you class "harder games", is Spurs away harder than West Ham at home? perhaps I should ask Pool fans that one. Not being nasty, just pointing out that no games can be expected to be easier than any other.
Liverpool lost to West Ham away. Any team worth their salt should still beat West Ham at home, they're just a more attacking version of the Allardyce teams of the past and playing on a small pitch with long grass helps that. Playing us is a bit of a mixed bag, if we turn up it can be very difficult but if not you've got every chance. Anyhow, on paper there's no doubting you've had an easy start. Not beating the teams you expect to doesn't mean the end of the World but it does mean there's more pressure on what people would assume are the tougher matches. That's why we're in the situation we are at the moment.
I know that YV, but as the old saying goes the game isn`t played on paper. Perhaps i should have used Stoke at the Etihad insted of West Ham v Pool
What a shocking team selection from Brendan Rodgers. Talk about chucking the towel in. Unbelievable decisions.
Does any Spurs fan know what season our team first used a Cockrell on their shirts........and were they on our shirts before the French put it on theirs?
After tonight's results, Bournemouth are top of the Championship, and a big well done to one of the games up and coming talents in their manager Eddie Howe. I saw Eddie Howe at the Lane last week at the Brighton game and wondered then if we might see him as our manager in the future. The guys' track record clearly shows he has something going for him.
The only blot on his record was leaving for Burnley. The Harry Kane of management, taking everything in his stride everytime he has to step up a level(Norwich and Burnley aside). Mark Warburton might not be young but he's another new English, manager who's making a name for himself playing good attacking football. I thought Rosler was going to be the end of a promising time for Brentford but they've kicked on well, coming from behind to win against Derby is no mean feat.
Another classic P/L performance by the Goons,,footballs answer to the chuckle brothers, when ever your feeling down, they will always cheer you up
Arsenal in the CL is and always will be pure comedy gold. Apparently, Whinger is accusing his players of have a weak mentality. Superb! Who would have imagined that Whinger would end being the Goons' biggest wum! He'd be banned from the Goons' board with comments like that.
Arsenal are so lucky they splashed big bucks on Sanchez, they'd be royally ****ed without him so far. Already becoming a one-man team. Didn't see their game with Anderlecht last night as I watched the Real - Pool match but did burst a little laugh when I heard Anderlecht had pulled it back to 3-3. Some sort of justice seeing as they robbed Anderlecht in the first game.
That's why I want Arsenal to get through to the knock-out stages - so I can witness them being knocked out. The thing is this. Whinger is accusing his players of lacking the mental strength to win games in the CL, but that's something we (and he) already know! What's new, pal? Yeah, you're good enough to barely scrape through past Europe's CL minnows, but as soon as you come up against one of the giants you'll be humiliated and made the laughingstock of English football (yet again).
