A place to post news / snippets about past Bristol City players: I read an article about the huge number of ex-City players plying their trade for other clubs - thought it might be interesting to have a thread that tracks things that happen, and give people an opportunity to comment on them So to start - Jon Stead scored for Bradford to give them the lead against Doncaster (Bradford lost the game 2-1)
well done SMH was going to do something similar, as I often trawl the results heres 2 more Akinde 2 more goals for Barnet and 11 for the season Baldock first goal in a 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth other players Anderson replaces Skuse at Ipswich whilst Adomah at Midds must be injured as he did not feature Sat. We also have others players out on loan to...................
Bobby Reid doing a sterling job for Plymouth Argyle...(not a previous player but still worth a mention)
I was happy to see Sam Baldock score last night. Some might say he isn't good enough for that league but last season I felt it was his dedication and desire that kept us going when we was in that position. Well done Simon good idea for a thread
Adomah had a bug according to the football league show but he's doing a great job for boro, hope they go up as it would be great to see Alb play in the prem!. Heaton also pulled off some great saves against arsenal yesterday. Also worth mentioning that Stephen Pearson is playing in India with Jamie McAllister as the assistant manager!
As we know down in Dorset Brett Pitman (Shiny's old love) has been popping them in for the Cherries and now in an automatic promotion spot to the promised land!
Tom Heaton, Parrish now at. Blackpool, Dean. Gerken, IPswich, who I felt was unlucky to be a regular with CIty, and is that the STephen HEnderson at Charlton who never got a game with us.... just goalkeepers who have left us... Excellent thread SImon.
Tristan Plummer has joined Weymouth on an initial one-month loan deal from Aldershot Town - when he was a kid i though this lad was going to make it - some just don't "train-on" I suppose
And yet the Jocks will still insist that the Scottish Prem could hold it's own in the English Prem, not that it's needed but this is living proof!! I remember Lee Miller did the same, scored naff all for us (although unlike DC he did at least have a great work rate) went back north to Aberdeen and scored for fun. Perhaps Bas Savage should head north of the border.....
Mark Aizlewood: Carmarthen Town boss could play aged 55 An injury crisis means the Carmarthen Town manager could put himself on the bench for Saturday's Welsh Premier game at Rhyl if he is registered in time. Aizlewood, who won 39 Wales caps, retired in 2002 and says he "gets out of breath" crossing the street. "I don't think I have much choice. We have an injury crisis and two suspensions," he told BBC Wales Sport. "Last weekend before the injuries I had two of my staff on the bench, one of which had to go on for 25 minutes, therefore we're low on numbers." If he plays, he will become the oldest player to appear in the Welsh Premier League.
Middlesbrough winger Albert Adomah has signed a contract extension at the Riverside. The 26-year-old now remains at the club until at least June 2017. He had initially penned a three-year deal following his arrival from Bristol City in August 2013. http://www.middlesbrough.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=376600#ixzz3Inm5pHrH
John Akinde scored a hat-trick for Barnet in their 3-1 win over Telford http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29964714 Since leaving us he has played for 8 clubs - Wycombe, Brentford, The Gas, Dagenham & Redbridge, Crawley, Portsmouth, Alfreton and Barnet
