  1. You're right, we can't always be in transition but I'd say if a manager arrives with a five year plan (as most seem to claim) then they should be given at least three years of that to get things the way they want.

Well he's into year 3 now so we should be considering our options in May. On current form I would be looking at other options as well as thinking about continuing with Brendan. Too early to make a decision obv, that will be done next summer. Top 4 and Rodgers def stays. Outside top 4 and we def look at another manager??

Post just to make it 19.

For the record, I'm almost never active on the forum at the weekend, regardless of whether we win, lose or draw.

Usually out on Saturdays (during the day) and directly after the Newcastle match I was travelling home from York Uni.

Also just because I or others don't post doesn't mean we aren't reading the forum.

    exactly,

varies quite a lot for me as well, sometimes i can be on all weekend sometimes not at all, and thats' after a win or a loss, got nothing to hide from, and **** all wrong with my internet connection, i have a young family so more important things to worry about than the negative ****e being spouted by rivals on here about our club.

there is also a lot of users who only do 9-5 on here, bet the ****ers are being paid to take a **** <whistle> although i go out for a cig, and have even gone shopping once <laugh>

  10. I'd say the team should be starting to take shape and there should be evidence of where we are going by the end of this season. Last year was the odd one out that blown expectation out of all proportion.

I think that this thinking should and must be already in place and the decision to back rodgers has to be made before january so funds are there to spend. frankly if we don't buy a striker then we are odds on for 7th.... if you are thinking ok we like rodgers but we need to make some changes fine but you must still back him in january. if you don't trust him to buy the right players frankly there's a big issue and its better to let the CL group end then haul him in and talk it out. if he agrees to technical director fine... if not fine. but if you don't trust him with your 50mil then its a big issue no matter how much you like the football philosophy etc.

Reus and Ayew in if poss with A N Other proven striker and maybe Balotelli out would be a start. Won't solve all our problems but would change the balance and give more drive. But trust is the main issue, do the owners believe in Rodgers enough to give him the money to do that?? Its a results driven industry after all. 7th wouldn't be good enough, even if we hadn't had the anomaly that was last season.

Messed up what? For many hours after the game it was dead. A ghost town.

You do like to close a thread though mito. A bit like this website i know of which is ridiculed across the internet.

  14. I like Rodgers despite knowing he will never rectify the defensive frailties we have had during his reign. I'm happy to accept that if we can get back to attacking teams without fear and believing we can outscore everyone. Sure, this means we'll take a few hidings along the way but its good exciting football. Although we won things, I really didn't enjoy watching us under Gerard Houllier because it was so boring. Yes, football is about winning trophies but, as fans, we watch to be entertained. Exciting football with a chance of challenging for something wins for me.

It would be so much better if some of you could take what you dish out. Shame really.

You lost so into hidint you went. Its a common occurance anyway. Last season was different for obvious reasons and these same posters who now claim to be seriously busy, had nothing to do bit gloat abour liverpools greatness and the dream makers superior management skills.

Be honest. You all got big headed last season and its all gone tits up. Plus you just couldn't be arsed with another 'rodgers out' thread from luv.

I normally find it's busier on here when we don't win as everyone's going mad? Not sure what happened this weekend.

  19. Well, I do own the internet according to Tobes :)

  20. I would suspect that more a reason why it was quiet. The negativity after a win is bad enough, some of our posters would hang our players after a draw too, after a loss...? <yikes>
