So a dressing room full of new faces doesn't effect the team on the pitch? Last season we had a very tight dressing room and everyone was in high spirits - that then translates on the pitch. The fact our dressing room is a shambles, whether the same players are playing or not the atmosphere in the dressing room definately plays a part. Have you ever played football at a reasonable level? But with all the new additions he clearly doesn't. He's playing people out of position etc. He has to take the blame for that. It doesn't mean I'm anti-Rodgers, but he needs to learn from this season, which I'm sure he will.

Why is he playing people out of position, you already had all the positions filled with players that came a close second in the league. All he has to do is integrate the new players (in their correct positions) as last years players lose form or are injured.
Tbh I don't remember Moyes getting that much stick from any but a small minority of Utd fans at this stage of last season. It wasn't until early December and two points from four games, including the back to back home defeats against Everton and Newcastle that the questions really started to be asked. It left us 9th in the table after 15 games and we never again got back above 6th. Even then, he didn't really come under the cosh until we rolled over for Liverppol and City at OT within the space of about ten days. It was the lack of fight in those matches, and his comments before and after, that really got the fans on his back and got him out the door. I think if LVG has a similar sort of run in the next ten games then the pressure will start to mount. The questions will definitely be asked if we haven't manage to haul ourselves back up to within a couple of points for 4th spot by the halfway stage. But he's still have the opportunity to turn it around by buying well in January, and if the team continues to show the same amount of fight as in the last couple of games.

I think LVG will probably be fine as United will always be there or thereabouts re top 4. Southampton isn't realistically going to last and the likes of Everton, Spurs and Liverpool are struggling themselves. It'll be inexcusable if he can't get top 4 in this league this year with the players he has.
Think we will finish 3rd. Arsenal are just as baf as us and like liverpool dont have tge excuse of being in transition. Two games from now and arsenals seasons ends.
Point 1 I don't agree with. I think if they stay injury free then they'll still be up there at the end of the year. At worst fifth, they're very good. Point 2 I definitely agree with. If we don't get top four then he'll deserve what's coming to him, just like Moyes did. He's had everything he wanted on a plate so there will be no excuse at all. As thing currently stand there won't even be the excuse that while he was sorting things out at the start of the season the gap became too big to make up. There's only your lot we can't catch. We could easily finish second. It would be a distant second but it can be done.

Were they second at this stage last season? Can't remember. The reason I think they won't necessarily drop off is that, City and Chelsea aside, they don't have much competition from the rest of us. I know we play them twice in quick succession and they've got hard games ahead but they are a decent side. I know they should drop off but if they stay injury free they might just stay up there. Top six is definitely realistic.
Top 6 for Southampton isn't unrealistic at the moment but really can't see top 4. We are only 10 games in and generally the cream rises over the course of 38 games. Almost every year there will be 1 or 2 sides who over achieve and it levels out. You'd have to say Chelsea and City are nailed on top 4, Arsenal should then get one of the other spaces as they will pick up a lot of points v the weaker teams, especially at home. Can Southampton then realistically stay above the like of United over 38 games? I can't see it.
Arsenal are a tricky one. They can't beat a top side for **** but always pick up a lot of points in the other games. I think they'll definitely get top 4, especially if Sanchez stays fit.
Me either. Though I would love Southampton to get a Champions League spot, even if we assume just Chelsea and City are shoe ins for top 4 they will find it extremely difficult to hold off Arsenal, United, Liverpool, Everton, Spurs etc.......would love to see it, but seriously doubt it.
