Going back to the thread, Gus seems to have something new to blame everyday. Comes across he is in panic mode. He needs to Big The Lads Up for confidence, and push his defensive midfield a bit further up than our 18 yard line. One common thing it seems we all agree with is we create nothing. If its been so shi*e for 4 year, why give O'Shea and Laarson extended contracts ? Gus should get his head straight and stop the blame culture.

i take your point(s), still think its a working progress, a decent result tomorrow night and everything will be different, bad result and then i think he will have 2 games to save his job
WMS, I didn't mean to come across as having a pop, I just think on the eve of a big game clubs should close ranks and focus on the job. It's a bottom 8 team tomorrow, avoiding defeat is where 100% effort should be, not gannin on about the last 4 year. We all know we have struggled every year other than Reidys two great finishes. Anyway, getting excited for tomorrow, we can handle Frazer and Chamakh and get a result. Enjoy the game.
i totally agree, gus should no-way be showing his hand, i suppose we'll see the morra, imho the first thing the club should do with new managers (especially new to the EPL) is send them on media handling courses, Gus, Pdc & Bruce have all been too easily led by the media. I blame Maggy Byrne.
It seems she has Ellis's purse in her handbag now and has stopped him spending. Going back to the Fiftys we have had to pay over the odds to get people to move up here. She needs to get real. Danny was often caught out of position up here, (as well as injury prone) , couldnt separate him , Alonso or our new lad with a *** paper. Great offensively but shaky at the back. Think Evans is as good as we will get, sell Connor and Jozy and get a proper striker in as well . Gus has his hands full, its only 59 days away till it opens.
Its all about winning mentality, Reid managed to get it right, we started winning and it became a habit. Gus got it right at the very end of last season which is why this season so far has been such a disappointment.
Only Burnley have won less games, hope Gus gets a result tomorrow, I like the bloke and am sick of changing managers, perhaps we should stick with him regardless. We need back to back wins asap.
