I aint calling for him to be sacked but poch is insane to leave kane on the bench...I had no faith in adebayor with his 1 on 1...and as for soldados attempts...does anyone expect anything better from him? Naughton and rose are all at sea...kaboul is past his sell by date...vertongen dont give a ****...eriksen has stopped trying...soldado is shockingly **** and adebayor doesnt look like scoring even one on one... I can handle losing but apart from lloris, chadli, mason and capoue they aint even trying....truly shocking first half.
Doesn't appear to be. I wondered who was going to play wide for us when I saw our lineup. The answer appears to be that nobody is.
If a Harryesque manager took over now the first thing they'd do in January would be to buy a solid centre back with experience of the prem who can head the ball. Someone like Michael Dawson?
Any truth in the rumour Lloris went down the tunnel, out of the stadium and caught a train home still wearing his kit.
At least Adebayor has created something and looked interested. The rest look abject and disinterested, with a defence that's a disgrace. (Although Soldado does deserve some credit) Rose and Naughton might as well not have been on the pitch so wouldn't be any loss. But all over the pitch we have been 2nd best. A midfield that neither presses nor is strong enough. I was hoping for at least some energy, but all we have is lethargy. Eriksen once again proving himself to be lightweight in the PL - only to be replaced by our very own show-pony...... Hopefully Lamela will prove me wrong.
We try to do a Newcastle from the kickoff and it's instantly cut out. I guess that's what happens when your defence isn't asleep all the time.
Another **** corner that doesn't beat the first man, followed by incredibly sloppy defending. Really basic stuff and they're just not doing it.
Just as a neutral interested in your thoughts, do you think sacking AVB was a bad idea looking back? He got what, 72 points the season before you sold Bale and was looking to make you a solid, well organised outfit. One poor performance against Liverpool (who just have a style that causes you issues- similar to Man City), and he was out. What was the thinking behind giving a manager £100m to spend and then sacking him a few weeks later? I think that decision alone was the worst one of all.
A lot of the 72 points were due to Bale really. But yes we've gone through managers and gone backwards
