I don't believe that... Believe me if I'd screwed the pooch so royally and had someone to blame I'd be laying it on thick

Mourinho would have said it day one to get a proper striker or the sack

    Rafa would have and has.

Badontelly, markovic et al are Rodgers buys

Lfc need an experienced coach and a technical director asap

Guarantee that of van gaal was currently sat at home after finishing his job with the dutch, you would be discuasing him as that experienced coach who might replace rodgers.

Simply because the market for experienced coaches is small. Very small.

I think he has - his main targets were Lallana and Lovren. The committee rejected signing Lovren last season (for a fraction of the price) and Rodgers loves Lallana.

Because he has no qualifications which would suggest he is capable of coaching at a high level. Nor does his great playing career suggest that it would translate to a coaching role.

Not only that - Carra's style of defending is defending in a deep line. It's not suited to our style of play. Same would apply to Steve Clarke and Sami Hyypia.

I dont understand why every one keeps questioning Lallana. He is a quality player and a clear improvement on Moses and Aspas in the wide areas. He fits our playing still and always puts in a great shift. Sure he cost £25m, but I dont care because he is a good fit.

All of our CB's have been sloppy but all have shown really quality in the past. So the question for me is not 'why are we buying crap CB's?' it is 'why are the top quality CB's we are signing not performing?'.

Some thing is seriously wrong with our defensive set up and it is not the players.

I bet Rafa would work wonder with our current defensive option.

Actually I'm pretty sure I remember Rodgers saying Carragher was offered a job if he wants it, but Carragher wanted a break away from that side of the game.

In the summer Rodgers told Hyypia he could have a job if he did not get a manager job, but Brighton hired him.

Steve Clarkes been a PL manager now, he wont go back.

I think our best bet for a defensive coach could be Kolo Toure.

On the link to FA coaching I posted the other day, Henchoz was on the list - there's a good candidate for the role!

You're right that he's an improvement on Aspas and Moses - but remember, these two were fringe players. There's no doubt that Lallana is a very good squad player to have but he't not better than Coutinho. When you spend £25m on a player, you expect him to be better than what we already have, come into the first team and improve us - and he's simply not. And he's not contributed much to our team this season despite his impressive work rate.

I consider him a luxury buy - when we needed to spend £25m+ on players who could genuinely help minimise the impact of losing the 3rd best player in the world, not simply be better than Aspas or Moses. <ok>

I dont think Moses and Aspas were intended to be fringe players. When they first arrived they went straight into the first 11. They were just rubbish and became like empty holes in the squad.

Luxury players cost £35m plus these days. Look at James Milner! I do how ever think Lallana s a solid addition.

Lallana was not signed to replace Suarez. Had Suarez stayed Lallana still would ave arrived. I think we have to see if Rodgers can 'replace Suarez' for real in January.

    Says it all:

    - centre backs are the furthest away from the ball
    - not one Chelsea player picked up

There are so many of these pictures from pretty much every game this season, highlighting or deficiencies. Will try and post them.
