I'm filled with awe as regards Suarez, so I'm going to dub him The Tooth Fairy..! Those fans of the original Hannibal Lector film Manhunter, will know what I mean. :)

Great book... Poor first film though, although both the book and the film scared the **** out of me.

So..... today was interesting. Turns out it wasn't a date but that's more due to her not having experience of guys being interested in her before so I think it was more the thought never occurred to her. We kinda had a brief and awkward conversation (but, I'd like to think it was awkward in a cute way) where it kinda became evident that I was interest in her and she hadn't thought about it but she said she may potentially be interested. I didn't pursue it of course and dropped the subject.... Then we went back to unawkward chat and joking around. Hopefully, the seed will have been planted and the idea will grow. Maybe. Unless she was freaked out. However, the rest of the day was really good, we had drinks and lunch, and just chatted about anything and everything. Hope she wasn't freaked out though and the seed has been planted and will grow, as she's lovely and we have so much in common, and get on so well.

When I first saw Manhunter the eighties-ness of it left me cold. But nowadays I think it's the best of the lot. I haven't read the books.

Agree with the 80s feel. I read all the books before seeing the movies. Excellent, if scary. The ending in the book is different to the ending in Manhunter. Better casting of the detective too.

Yep. Cracking book absolutely. Less so the film (though it's not bad).

PL - glad to see it went well - she seems to be a facsimile of you, just don't push the idea too hard, just let it develop and happen.

FLT - am having a Kylie conversation with someone close to her at the moment who is being very nice about her. That's all.

Thanks. She does seem very much like the female version of me. I'm a bit concerned, after that girl I thought liked me a bit under three years ago and I told her I was interested in her, she never spoke to me again, so I'm worried that might happen again.... however the circumstances this time were different, and she is a very different person, so hopefully that won't be an issue. But you're right, I'm gonna lay low for a bit, I may see her tomorrow but if not, just give her some space to reflect. Reflection is important.

yes it would. After last time I was a bit nervous in case I'd freaked her out and she'd never want to talk to me again but I suddenly recall her saying see you thursday when we parted, surely if she was freaked out she wouldn't have said it? She didn't have to say it, she could have just said. See you, without giving a specific day.... So, while I'm still a bit nervous, I'm feeling cautiously optimistic.
