Wind Fire could be a surprise here - sire was dirt horse and so was the dam, who is a half-sister to Grade 1 dirt winner Majestic Warrior; fair chance she'll improve plenty for switch to this surface and could be picking them off if pace is overly quick.
I think they'll go like **** off a shovel from gate to post and that'll suit him down to the ground. He'll have to be handy turning for home, then his class will get him across the line. In first place, hopefully.
Genuinely, 2 year olds aside Hannon and Hughes collectively are ****ing clueless. Hughes chased a 21 second opening quarter there on a horse who desperately needs to be settled. They will never learn and they will never win a decent middle distance race either I hasten to add. They might look good in their 6f races and 2 year olds but that is about it. Disappointing and they can't blame thew draw this year.
Another great ride by Hughsie! What was he doing going up to contest the early lead, the pace was thier would have been better to get cover pull out and bang go for it! I should be a trainer
