Sorry Wiz, put this on before seeing your post, never had a problem with NTTDS, but saying that, i'm one, that if i'm not interested in a post, i don't view it, simple.

 

Does this relate to the post about the new football and the related association with the Movember work to publicise the dangers of prostate cancer?
Yes NTTDS has put posts / threads that may not be totally related to BCFC or football, but at least he is trying to keep a board going at a time when it appears to be in trouble because of lack of posters and perhaps lack of interest.
Maybe it is time for me to move on to pastures new.

I was fully aware he was banned on Otib,however every tom,burt and harry gets banned over there for something or other.

Shame he did not communicate with the fellow mods on here,who i say do a sterling job.
They need to work together as a team on here.
Gotta say it is one hell of a lot better here than OTIB.

Agree with this, when we all had the statement the other day saying that the Mod's will need to work to clean the site up etc. They need to work as a team and as Shiny says he tried to communicate and possibly Wiz did as well without any reply from someone who was desperate to be a mod.
Yes some threads were interesting and as some say don't click on it but sometimes you would log on to four to five threads that was pointless.
The prostate one was important to post, but if you post a thread just give a brief insight to it. Because if you just post links constantly without any insight, people think it's the same as some of the others open a link and it's pointless. This one in particular could of been missed, it was only when Cidered stated what was in the link that I read it.
I don't think anyone is doubting NTTDS commitment and dedication to City but I for one felt a lot of the threads were pointless so I done what people said and didn't read them. So missed things that might of been important.

 

I often wondered why he would post so many totally uninteresting threads that got virtually no replies. However is that solely enough to ban him or are the other issues that have been pointed out by shiny more relevant?

Obviously most of our posters are not in the information loop and have little or nothing to do with the background work that goes on to make this site workable, so I am going to stick my 10 cents worth in by saying that the mods are the ones who are truly in touch of all matters not606 and as such we should trust their assessment and verdict.

 

His pictures added to the board. His other posts can be ignored. Utterly trivial thing to ban Hector the ticket collector [ J..] for.

This does prove everything I have said and thought about this forum. It's very disappointing but it seems things are how they are and how I have suggested previously and there really isnt anything as free speech.

For me his pictures post was the one I looked forward to the most - but then there was a large number of fairly irrelevant threads (personally I just ignored)

While it seems harsh to ban him, he was warned about it but carried on.

And as for our Mods - you do a great job, so please keep doing it.

 

I take my hat of to the mods that look after this forum, they do a great job, its not something i would do, so great respect to you guys, keep up the good work, from a happy city fan.

 

As I said on an earlier comment, and Tetbury you can't argue this as you blatantly tried to ridicule Shiny in another thread stating he should PM. Shiny tried it your way and got ignored.

I can remember when the voting for Mod, NTTDS was getting people to log on join up just to vote for him (he asked, a mutual friend who told me) and from recollection there was two or three extra members who have not commented since the vote. Hence the reason I choose not to run for Mod when asked to again after. I thought If someone wants it that bad he might contribute. But all he choose to do was to create thread after thread which normal members could do.

Why if he wanted the Mod's role so bad did he choose not to work with the ones already in place?

 

Wiz, my post above yours say's it all, you all do a great job, i can understand your feelings, but hey, the vast majority on here are with you 100%.

 

There were a lot of threads that seemed irrelevant to all things Bristol City. I half expected threads on "cat stuck up tree" and other such trivial things that one would find in a free local newspaper.......

 

Doubt 100% vast or majority.

Wizered Im not having a go at anyone, I asked a question that was ignored 3 times which I didn't think was right.

I think you will find I asked on Private message too the chief MOD.... which was ignored 3 times..... If he had replied... I wouldn't of started a thread. I'm quite happy to take a screen shot to prove this... and also another message I have received from a Rovers fan on the subject.
I think its plain too see too anyone who reads the forum what its all about and whos mates with who.... which I was told about on this forum, but I gave it the benefit of doubt but was proven right. Each too their own, things are done now, time to get on with it.
