saw that last night another description is Tim sherwood has a dig at tottenham under the guise of a positive southampton and newcastle article.
He obviously has spoken to someone at the club (i.e. the recruitment guy he mentions) and has been told about our ethos. He is right...we were one of these teams he is talking about the last time we were in the PL. We operated a patchwork system (buying who we could afford) with the sole aim of staying in the system rather than making progress. I understand that as there is so much money at stake. I think Lowe was trying to change that by developing the Academy, but he never had enough funding for that. Mustn't forget that Lowe laid down the foundations that made us look ripe for development by Nicola and Markus. I like the way we are going...may never win the league (or probably not in my lifetime) but we play good football and are a model for other clubs.
Friend of mine played in a golf grouping at one of these charity golf things where Sherwood was the "celeb" for their group. He said he had a mouth like the sewer, was truly only interested in talking about himself, a lot and was quite simply a horrible human being. Even though it's a pro-saints article - I can't bring myself to take what he says seriously
I don't have a problem with the bloke. Refreshingly honest, and best recent Spurs manager, that's for sure.
