This could be a very important game in deciding how the rest of our season pans out from a psychological point of view. A win against a team that are flying at the top of the league currently would be a massive confidence boost for the squad. A draw would further consolidate a solid start and a loss would denote that there is still quite a bit of work to do before we can consider ourselves as likely contenders for a mid table finish.

Really looking forward to the game and hoping Brucie gets the tactics and team selection spot on for this one.

I thought we showed glimpses at Anfield of how well we can pass and move the ball and feel that we need to try and play out from the back more often rather than constantly launching long goal kicks that are less likely to allow us to retain possession.

Come on Brucie, you've assembled the best set of City players that most of us have ever seen, let's see what they can really do.

This was a stand out for me as it shows that the players are doing the 'hard yards' in training to 'bond' in this manner. Still some way to go owing to the injuries that are plaguing us just now and the fact that Hernandez can't do it alone so I can't see us scoring against the Saints. Looks like a 2-0 win to them for me but I do hope I am wrong.

Hope this fires up Davies, Jake and Hudd. Jake may have run the most miles last week but I've still not forgiven him for losing a 50/50 with Coutinho.

I’d be impressed if we were playing WBA or Leicester etc.

But we’re playing Soton – he seems to go to virtually every game of theirs.

Didn't Woy attend at St Marys last year when the boys gave their worst performance of the season?

Yes he did and we gave up three goals in the first 10 minutes. By far Davies worst game of the year and might have killed his selection chances for Brazil with Woy. Hope Curtis and Thudd and Jake have blinders today and make him change his mind.

anyone'd think he was half blind with eye cancer, like Duffman is.
The way he keeps missing Tom and Curtis.
