You're Welsh, shouldn't you supporting be Cardiff City?

EDIT: Breaking with my past tradition, i shall try giving a sensible answer to a poster i have deemed unsensible.

We're currently stuck in a vicious cycle of being good, but not good enough, and nobody in charge at this club seems to have the ambition to progress us, or to even take a risk that could lead to progression.

If it goes tits up, at least we made a change and tried to progress.

Why the f*** would i support cardiff when i have no affiliation to them. U could ask me why i dont support bangor, newtown or barry instead. I may live in xardiff now but im from Llanelli and they have no pro team and their semi pro team was more amateur than anything. So without any local club to support i chose Arsenal at tge age of 7ish as i identified with the club.

But my validity to support my team isnt relevant to this. So stop deflecting attention away from tge question i asked sanj, which is a serious one.

It's not a serious question in the slightest. You made up an entirely fictitious scenario based on nothing other than 'what if'.

What if a plane drops £10bn cash onto the Emirates pitch. What would happen then? Serious question.

Although I agree with you on some of your criticism of Wenger (tactically he is extremely unadaptable) Its fair to say that Wenger does attract top players to Arsenal. He's one of the biggest managerial names around. Sanchez, Ozil, Carzorla - you can't tell me these are not TOP International players.

Also..The problem with the 'everything will be better once Wenger leaves argument' is that Wenger's best strength is identifying TOP talent and coaching that talent to realise their potential.
A good example would be Koscielny. There are VERY few managers around that would see a skinny 24 year old defender playing with just the one year of French Top flight football under his belt and recognise his true potential. This is important for a Club like Arsenal.

I don't think its realistic to think we can compete financially with the TOP clubs. We will always be at a disadvantage to the Chelseas/City's etc.. as I really don't see FFP having any real impact at all. So the key for us is youth and scouting - Two things that Wenger still does very very well.

You mean 'doing a Spurs' by spending tens of millions and making no progress and challenging for nothing important every season?

I'm going to assume that you're quite young and therefore afraid of change.

I would far rather get rid of Wenger and take the risk of being successful than stick with him and guarantee failure. Because that what 4th place is, that's what always going out in the last 16 / QF of the CL is. The best Arsenal can hope for is the occasional domestic cup. Maybe they can't compete financially with City / Chelsea, so they have to on a recruitment and tactical level. Yes Wenger signed Kos & Sanchez - brilliant - but he failed to sign a CB & a DM and he's tactically completely inept. Flamini as the sole defensive minded midfielder on a large pitch in a 4-1-4-1? Give me a break!! The sooner Wenger goes the sooner Arsenal have a chance to be world-beaters. There's no guarantee at all, but it's a risk worth taking. Wenger out.

I also don't really care if he's good at scouting and signing talent (and it's debatable if he really is that much better than most others at this). Because even he signed 11 world class players he still wouldn't have the tactical know-how to be able to use them to win anything.

So pretending this thread hasn't become one of many to be derailed into a wenger in, out conversation, and getting back on topic:

I think Sanchez is a great player, he's started really well for us and I love his fighting attitude. He's one of the early contenders for signing of the season for sure.

Why the personal questions on me instead of any subject relating to Arsenal?

Im hardly showing myself afraid of change just for quering someones claim that they'll only stop being miserable when wenger goes.

From my own time suppotting it was great to change from rioch as we were really poor. And tho graham was a forced change it was still good inspite of us being quite good and difficult to beat as we were far too one dimensional.

That's 10 goals in his last 12 apps for us, 7 goals in 9 prem apps. Very impressive start.

    i am not baiting anyone.

i am pointing out the obvious that our current manager AW signed him because he knows best. as he is the manager and i am not then he knows best compared to me !

we were rumoured to be in for Mad Mario and i thought he would be a good signing, but as AW knows best he signed Sanchez and let Liverpool sign Mario.

Sanchez looks to a be a great signing. 7 PL goals in 9 PL games so far. bet Liverpool wish they had signed him.

i am allowed to have an opinion. i am not baiting anyone. i am pro AW, its just that the anti-AW brigade would argue that black is white, anything to be negative, and anything to slag off AW or Arsenal.

in their eyes if we win 3 nil we should have won 5 nil. they are never happy.

we won today and i am happy.

if you can't be happy that we won today then why are you a Arsenal fan ?

This season is reminding of the 2011/12 season. A top player carrying a bang average team.
