Same team as last week? Maybe? I would take a draw but I've woke up in. A good mood and think we'll win. 2-1.
I'm worried about this game so would be delighted with anything. That said if we did win then I think it'll be another massive step on our journey towards being a mid-table team.
We're a bit Slim shady according to the Guardian.... 8) Will the real Hull City please stand up? It must be a slightly bemusing time to be a Hull City fan. On one hand it feels the season is going just fine – a win over Crystal Palace began the month and was followed by two very handy draws away at Arsenal and then Liverpool (the latter achieved without a couple of key men). On the other, they’ve won only twice in the Premier League so far (the same, for example, as the up-until-a-minute-or-two-ago-entirely-hapless QPR) and they’re nowhere near as far away from the stragglers as it feels they should be after nearly a quarter of the season. The visit of Southampton – form side though they undoubtedly are – is the sort that could swing the mood one way or the other. Ronald Koeman’s team aren’t going to shut up shop at the KC Stadium so this could – maybe even should – be a chance for the freewheelin’ funster side of the Tigers to shine. kinell freewheelin funsters
Will be a tight game hullsters, the immovable object meeting the irresistible force, will be a great game or total bore?
I reckon the Southampton love-in is a bit of an Emperor's New Clothes scenario this year. I'll be disappointed if we don't take all three today.
We have drawn too many, but we are now a team that's had to beat. So I'm positive. Need a win here but can't see it, given Soton's recent form. So I'm negative. Got draw written all over it. 1-1.
Disgraceful comment Ernie. I've asked the mods to remove mine and Pollys comments on here. There'll be a new thread for this sort of thing, Polly sucks off blind men i expect.
So, instead of issuing an apology for his thoughtless remarks about a cancer victim, Chazz decides instead to antagonise me further. Well, Lincoln Tiger did tell me you had a nasty streak...
Refusing to keep buying him beer is not a nasty streak. I'm sick of these penniless musicians hovering around the bar
This could be a very important game in deciding how the rest of our season pans out from a psychological point of view. A win against a team that are flying at the top of the league currently would be a massive confidence boost for the squad. A draw would further consolidate a solid start and a loss would denote that there is still quite a bit of work to do before we can consider ourselves as likely contenders for a mid table finish. Really looking forward to the game and hoping Brucie gets the tactics and team selection spot on for this one. I thought we showed glimpses at Anfield of how well we can pass and move the ball and feel that we need to try and play out from the back more often rather than constantly launching long goal kicks that are less likely to allow us to retain possession. Come on Brucie, you've assembled the best set of City players that most of us have ever seen, let's see what they can really do.
