I think there is a good young'un about 21 called Freddie Bootawinger - think he might be foreign (possibly French?) but I'm not sure

Harsh, We've got a DOF now. Gus stated where he wanted his numbers prior to the window opening, Every single position. He didn't get what he wanted. He came out after the window and said so, He's been transparent about what he wanted. He also said the only player in the window he was 100% responsible for was Buckley and he'll take full responsibility, he may have to, but questions needed to be asked of either Congerton for failing, or to Short for not providing a budget where Congerton could succeed.

I think he's a 10m player, not that he's shown it yet, however his injury record should have brought that down. I'd say he's a 6-7m player taking how susceptible to injury he is. We over paid, but so did everyone. Got link to that poyet comment fella, new information to me, the week before he was saying the opposite.

Re Rodwell, £10m. We could have got Diame for £3m and had £7m left over to buy a quality centre half. I'll give him time but he's locked awful quite frankly, to the point where Larsson is probably more sure of a place :-/
He should be fit now, that excuse wears thin, its November, lets hope he turns the corner soon. If not I would have him out after International break, tinker with set up and get Giachh and Alverez in there.
Rodders needs to play deeper, where Ki started for us, to get him on the ball more. The games pass him by cos we don't get him on the ball enough where he is playing. This would need a slight change to 4-2-3-1 but I don't think Gus will do it. We do have a young Dutch full back making waves in the u21s Schtop de Kros
Its a tough one this, we would all like to see youth given a chance, and perhaps we are too conservative with team selection, I hate to say it, but Newcastle are far more adventurous than ourselves in promoting young players from their development programme.
Diame was great to start with at West Ham then turned to s**t. Loads of "meh" performances. What good is that? Rodwell has hardly played, despite being fully fit, for 2 years t Man City. He's coming back from that now. Anyone that expects him to be top drawer this early is in for a shock. He's improving but we probably won't see the best of him until early next year As for the op.. We don't see the kids "knocking on the door" and Gus does. I trust his judgement
