I am also very happy about the return of Raylor. Use him correctly and I too think he can have a positive influence on our season. Sometimes as much as anything you just need the right characters out there. Helps he is sh*t hot from a dead ball too!

Raylor is good squad player, never understood why people always seemed to not rate him. If you look back, whenever we had good spells he was in the team a lot of the time. He knows the football here, has terrific mental strength and commitment. Others can learn from, particularly the foreign lads. They are starting to understand, the likes of Sissoko and Obertan are starting to show a bit of fight in their game, hopefully they maintain it. Noticeable since we got more lads in the team who know the game here, we have stiffened up a little. Just got to get the balance right.

Newcastle goalkeeper Rob Elliot on Twitter:
"What a result!! What a performance the best support ever!! But to top it all Ryan Taylor is back!"

Shows how much the lads like having Raylor around the first team squad.

To be honest, when most players are fit, then for me there's no way he should start. And I still worry when he plays at full back. BUT he's a superb influence and having him around the squad always seems to give everyone a boost. As others have said, he works hard, he adds a touch of class from dead balls and seems a canny lad who can make others laugh.

I thought his playing were over (at Prem level at least). So it's fantastic to see him on the pitch again, especially putting his body on the line up prevent a late goal. That's exactly the sort of fighting spirit that has been lacking in some performances.

    Welcome back Raylor!

For the first time in a while, I'm actually looking forward to going on Saturday, instead of just turning up.

Leaving your options open there I see Obi so that you can claim you meant either win or lose after the event?

Obertan has been impressive the last few games. So has Moussa Sissoko though. Since being moved back in to the centre he is a different player. Sissoko and Colback in Midfield with Aarons and Obertan on the wings has a lot of potential.

    New JPF game chaps.

    The rules:
    1. I PM the player a task to complete on the next matchday thread. Each post after in which nobody guesses what their task was, they get a point. If nobody guesses as that thread dies, then they get all the post points, and new task on the next matchday thread to continue the streak.
    2. Nobody will be informed of the identity of the player, except the player.
    3. If somebody correctly guesses the task, then they will be PM-ed and become the new player, and the ex-player can not guess for one whole matchday thread.

For example, say I had PM-ed WindyMag above, post the line: "I wear underpants, even when it's windy", then he would have to incorporate that line into his match thread post.

But it won't always be something so obvious.

As stated, this shall begin on the match thread after Liverpool.

It could do with a JPF Report on the state of Prediction League Football in England.
