I'd love to see Cedre Bleu win here - backed him a number of times where he came to win the race and then folded. Let's see if Charlie Mann has got his head straightened out .......
Pretty impressive determination she showed, the pace she set blew all but Arctic Fire away, not sure what the excuses of the horses in behind will be there.
Interesting little beginners chase here with Sergeant Reckless a warm fav and advertising the good novice hurdle form from last season over fences. Not a one horse race though, Doyly Carte could go well
Good clean round by Apache Stronghold, win was never in doubt. I look forward to seeing him in better company to see if he holds up when the pace is stronger.
As Jimmy Lindley would say ..."she must have inside her a heart as big as herself..." Anyone remember him?
Just watched the replay of Apache Stronghold - very professional for a debut over fences. Have a worrying feeling that this is a horse I'm going to fall in love with - lovely big chaser with a real motor and a change of gears, I really hope he can keep progressing and get to a Gold Cup one day. A horse of great potential, but how often do we say that? Dex I can just about remember Jimmy Lindley I think
Well that Down Royal card had everything you'd hope for on a late October jumps card. Super stuff. How good was Morning Run, can't see a novice mare around could live with that and what a price at 10/11, goes off at 8/15 :yikes: Little King Robin probably showed why people have an attachment for the jumps you just don't get on the flat. A heart like a lion but I have to say was really pleased by Arctic Fire in terms of a comeback run. Was the only horse fit to pick her up from a mile back and fitness just told on the run in. He'll be hard to beat next time out. Apache Stronghold done what was expected and jumped really well but I do think the bookies have a laugh cutting him for Cheltenham to 12s for the JLT... Valerian Bridge was the icing on the cake. 3 from 3. Nice prospect, simply toyed with them the whole way round. Jumps are well and truly back, yeehaaaa!!!
If you are backing this horse, I suggest you do it with Corals as they are giving you a free bet for same value (up to £50) for Saturdays races - nb this offer is only for the 9.25 which happens to be Hootenanny's race
Anyone want a 'BREEDERS CUP: Live' thread as per previous years or keep the discussion rolling in this thread instead?
Well done Beefy. All three given very strong words on the Final Furlong podcast as well. I've not seen the races but all seem decent wins.
Just in from a Halloween party. Anyone wanting a late night horror show turn to Sky Sports 2 for the greatest collapse in test history... ...yes Adelaide 2006..still can't believe that actually happened.
