The only time I've been remotely interested in this sort of stuff is when I was sat in bed, mid-summer's night and the mrs felt a cold shudder, no windows were open and even if they were it wasn't windy or cold. I said I didn't feel it then literally seconds later I got a sensation I'd never felt before, it felt like being surrounded by a cold, invisible cloud, both of us felt it at the same time. I didn't dwell on it for too long, I said it was probably 2-Pac as we were watching a film with him in at the time. I'm very much in denial of anything considered 'supernatural' and I'm sure there was a perfectly good scientific explanation for this, which I'd seek to find if I was even a tiny bit interested in it!
I always keep an open mind on anything natural or supernatural - would be nice to think that one day James Randi will have to give away his million dollars
I'm more inclined to think invisible 'aliens' are among us than ghosts to be honest. The likelihood of us being the most technologically advanced planet in existence is incredibly slim. That doesn't count as supernatural as Science would have no issues understanding that.
I have read or been told from more than one source the theory that babies/toddlers can see ghosts! Judging by watching my 2 year old daughter, you would think it was true! She can just be playing then stop and suddenly just look into the empty corner of the living room and smile or look puzzled. When I am sitting in the house alone with her and she does it, it sends shivers down my spine!
My wife has been to one of those mediums/fortune tellers! And when she came back she was dumbstruck. Everything she was told was 95% accurate! Names, places, happenings etc! The only way she could have known was if she researched my wife and her family beforehand. But by only giving the medium her first name when she booked the reading could that have been possible?
They access info all sorts of ways mate, if she had your Mrs' phone number it's easily enough done, especially a land line. They subscribe to directory services, family tree records sites, then they have social media. The best way to go about it, is call them from a phone box and give them a fake name for your booking, then you'll see how ****e they are! I used to work in Police Intel after I left the MoD, they don't have the privileges of the MoD so you have to use open-source info on suspects/crims and once you unpick the tiniest glitch of info online about somebody then it opens up worlds of information. Experian was one of the easier ones, companies house, land registry, all them forms you fill in when you buy a house etc.
As I say I'm very dubious about the merits of the paranormal, but the fact is that after 10 years of thinking about my experiences I still haven't came out with a logical explanation for what I experienced it... For the record they did not spook me one bit, and the two figures that I saw looked more friendly than threatening..
I agree mate with internet wide open not too difficult to unearth a wealth of info about peeps, usually and sadly it's vulnerable and the relatives of recently deceased that get conned - these a few good docu/clips regarding spirit-medium scams on youtube worth a watch if anyone's considering visiting a medium
