Never really been a fan of the clash, over rated, a few decent songs that's all..imo possibly the best were, i fought the law, and white riot.. Just listened to that, i want to be sedated, it's like pop punk...guess i could never have been a fan of the ramones.
Not yet mate, My lass can't stand him and with my only rest bite being going to the match I've not had chance. He's a genius mate, strange but very talented. Murder Ballads has to be my favorite album of all time. You heard out from it?
The Clash struggle in the punk scene as they were proper musicians, hence the legacy. Listen to the intro to I fought the Law and the intro to Blietzkrieg Bop one after the other or even simultaneously mate. I love proper Pop Punk personally, think the Jam, the Buzzcocks and the Undertones are cracking bands.
Well worth watching mate, proper decent English documentary making. The production company who made it told me I was utterly ****e about six months ago and told me to go work on a building site. In truth I don't know loads of Bad Seeds stuff bar into my arms and red right hand which I love. Need to have a proper listen to them.
Here's a couple from the best album they've ever done, the poet at his best, dark but amusing. What about punk bands today, are there really any? must be some.. Only one i can think of, and i also like them even tho they are sometimes a bit pop punk, (and they happen to be american) are rancid. But they sound more like ska than punk.
