When he was one on one with the Villa keeper, the speed in which he got into the box seem very quick. Is he actually that quick or is it just the view on the TV. If it is the case we really need to start using him to counter attack more
I'm not sure mate but l think with him scoring two goals recently will have given him a massive boost in confidence and he will continue to improve for us. Viva Los Vargas !
He's had one of his goals taken off him by the Dubious Goals Panel and his second goal is now a Gerrard own goal which makes three of the five goals in that match own goals. Must be a PL record...
He is quick. I had a great view from PU. Not quite 'The Flash' but seems as quick as Lennon or the famed Defoe. Possibly the best of the summer acquisitions.
We need a Vargas song. How about that one we used to sing for Ledesma? "La la la la, Eduardo Vargas...." Anyone help with the rest?
I also thought Coutinhos goal was deflected in...so I would say 4 of the goals were own goals.....and we scored all 5 goals too
It's his speed of thought that helps him see where the gaps might be or anticipate the flight of the ball hence the space that he finds himself in as per his first goal against Liverpool and the chance he had Monday night..... I feel he may cause Chelsea some problems tomorrow as their centre backs are not the quickest things on two legs.....
Agree, he's not Gareth Bale but he seems to have a lightening quick mind and incredible acceleration over the first few yards. The old adage of the first few yards being in the mind is possibly true (although it is a silly phrase because my first 750 marathons have been in my mind but never materialised in reality).
