Posters would be making the same point if it were you Comm. There's plenty on here would support you, me too (occasionally). No one wins by losing regular posters. And be honest, you enjoy your spats with Smug just as much as he does with you.
Publicising PM's? Howay mate, a little class... As for Smug, he's an extremely forthright person and there are always going to be arguments and fallings out wherever he goes. But I feel the board would be worse off without him and would be surprised if he doesn't reappear in the not too distant future... As for modding, Smug would be a brutal mod.
Anybody who openly admits to setting traps is always in danger of suffering the same outcome as the intended victims do,what good has come out of the last few days because i cannot see any benefit to be had by anybody at all apart from the lesson in the proverb in time you reap what you sow . I have had words with some on here as we all do but the behaviour from a multitude of posters some of ours and some from outside has been an example of everything wrong with this social media thing,i will say sorry at times and admit guilt over some posts i have been involved in but this has been a debacle of hatred in words without a doubt . Learn how to back down as there is always real life to fall back on .
Absolutely not, I enjoy and will miss Smugs posts as much as the next person but he rubs people the wrong way with his forthright and irreverent opinions. This board would either degenerate into chaos or drift into obscurity with such an appointment. Making him a Mod is not the way to get him back, get someone to call him a liar, then he will be back in a flash.
I like smug but god no he shouldn't be a mod. Far too outspoken and probably the biggest wum on the board. By that I mean he wound up hull fans, mags, Southampton fans so on and so forth. Great poster but far "i hate fans from every other club in the UK to be a mod. I'll be honest I didn't have the stomach, nerve or bollocks to be a mod as we have a stupid tradition of mods doing **** all and letting things go when we really shouldn't. I feel for you lot as you can't do your job without the dickheads of the board giving you ****.

I didn't vote mind and I won't. I have little interest in dictating who mods and how they do it. Like Smug, I'm on my last legs with the forum.
The board will be a duller place without Smug, so I for one will be hoping he returns once the maggots have crawled back under the rocks from which they came..
Me too mate, I'm sure a lot of other posters feel the same way. The forum has become a joke, not even worth reading.
This forum has always gone through periods like this. It wont fold and all the posters wont be driven away. People just need to calm down. The GC boys will have a new toy to play with soon, then they will move on and then this place will settle down and return to normal. Why has Sombs constant requests for a vote on a ban, which was originally suggested by a mod, not been listened too? I think it was a good idea and if the mods acted a bit quicker like WMS then things might not have got as bad as they have.
