    Jesus Christ this is a depressing thread. Yeah I couldve ignored it but it's a bit like driving past a horrific crash on the other side of the motorway.

    Peter Kay is undoubtedly one of the laziest, formulaic, catchphrase comedians this country has ever produced: "Do you remember wallpaper on your school books?"

    Precisely, I couldnt have put it better myself.

    If you asked every single working comedian, comedy writer or comedy critic in the the UK who was better, Lee or Kay, I'd be surprised if Kay got 1 single vote.

    I like Stewart Lee. I also think Pheonix Nights was a brilliant piece of comedy writing, and I'd be very surprised if any working comedian or comedy writer would disagree with THAT.

    Every time I post about Italian football someone comes on and slags it off. I've just been criticised for liking Stewart Lee. How are these any different to the fact that I hate Peter Kay and think Phoenix Nights is really, really ****.

    Only because he fell out with Peter Kay, it was the last ever episode that he was in, he obviously thought it was good before that, or he wouldn't have wanted to be in it.
