No way, while mods are digging their heels with visitors who abuse our posters only then to drive good posters away by deleting their comments just because it doesn't fit with their blinkered view of the world you'll get no effort from me. This place isn't worth my effort. Besides when poster who's being constantly attacked for days on end, sometimes by his own, while mods do f** all and his only backup is a couple of his fellow fans, a mag and a Man U fan then I don't really feel the posters of this board are worth my effort either. I don't include WMS as he's had s**t on so hadn't been on, but when he did he actually made a f**ing effort to sort this place.
You do realize that we have lives outside the forum? I haven't been on here much lately, largely due to the crap season we're having, and then we have a GC invasion as well. If you want to have a say in how the board should be run put a thread up for debate and stop bitching about everything.
Mate you're letting them get the better of you. Smug was encouraging them to bite, he enjoys it all mate. I wouldn't see him leaving over it, that's for sure.

I don't want anyone to stop posting (except the idiots), but we're arguing about where we draw the line. I will quite happily start chucking bans at people, but the general view on here has always been that we should let the idiots demonstrate thier idiocy. If that has changed, then fine. But let's agree the way forward and take the action that we, the Sunderland fans, want to take.

I don't want to start another thread that will be closed, but.... WMS said on a thread that if he got 10 posters backing a ban for the gc lot, he'd do it. TBH, the mods have been very low key for the last few days. Yes I do realise that you have lives outside of this board, but for some people, it's a way of usually enjoying passing the time of day. This has been pissed on by some posters. If something's not done, you'll lose the heartbeat of this forum. Now, is it feasible to set up a vote?
Anyhoo, I feel for Gus this week as he must be looking around his squad wondering where he can turn to. Alvarez and Giaccherini's are hurting us and Altidore's comedic cameo against Arsenal did no one any favours. I dont think there'll be whole sale change but he did suggest that AJ and Vito would be dropped. It's been like one big week-long period on here really, culminating in a poster or two leaving the board. I don't for one second think Smug's gone for good, he just has too much respect for you lot to let the board be ruined by those who want to target him. He'd not let it go on for that long if it was to the detriment of the board so this was inevitably going to be his only option without 100% backing from his fellow Sunderland posters. I like Commachio and I'll always have his back on here, like I did with Smug because they're the fabric of this board. Them two are never gonna get along but there'll come a time when they cohabit without bickering endlessly; this spat has been brewing for ages. Without both of them, this board would be far, far less lively. It's not my place to comment on who can and can't come on here to contribute but if it carries on much longer the way it's gone for the last week, there'll be f** all left to moderate anyhow.
