Just wondering what everyone's favourite away day is?

Due to geography mine's Fulham nowadays (Well before they went and got themselves relegated, twats) find it pretty cool you can have a pint and a tab by the thames at half time. It's not one for a hostile environment but is just a pretty different experience to every other ground. Also... London is cracking for drinking.

Special mention to Derby... Absolutely used to love going over, great fans.

The BBC have been running articles on the old football grounds, a good read..

The old Baseball ground was always a good day..

Two of the best for me though, are probably West Ham and Forest.

I've struggled to get to many away games since I met the Mrs, she's very patient with me and my football so when United are away, mostly I'll do something with her, like watch Gillette Soccer Saturday.

From the ones I've been to in England I'd say we had the best weekend in Newcastle, that city is full, crawling, awash with a river of ladies who will do anything for a Hooch.

Abroad, loved Fenerbahce in 2004. Istanbul is a great city, the teams who play there have a bad rep but we had a brilliant trip. We got beat 3-0 so that probably helped us not get our heads kicked in!

West Ham, Millwall at the old Den, Barnsley, Leeds, Burnley, Stockport.
I always enjoyed the eventful away games.

Oh aye, almost forgot, Boro when they were at Ayresome Park. <ok>

I never trusted a bird who I'd just found in a club or bar to be not doing that sort of thing every night.

At least I think I wore them, there's a slight chance I could have just flicked them across the hotel room when I couldn't figure out which way round to put it on from being so pissed.

Spurs. Love the stadium and the atmosphere in there is magic, really loud and sound carries.

They get some bad press Spurs fans but they are decent I reckon, home & away.

Agree with Derby, used to love going down there, Leeds was class for atmosphere until they got ****, Sheff United was always decent (cos we usually won...).

So, in short, non PL clubs. Anyone remember the banter down at Bury when we went up, won 5-2, their fans were staggered at how many of us turned up, but they were ****ing mint, I couldn't buy a pint anyway, top, top lads and had a soft spot ever since.

Ended up staying down there overnight and getting ****ed up with a couple lads from Hyde, we will never forget that one.

I used to like going to watch Bury, there was a bunch of lads we went with every week. We'd adopt a few of the travelling away supporters for the day and keep them well stocked on free drinks made up of half lager, half piss.

    The good old days.

Yeah Spurs for me too. Great area around the ground and great atmos inside for a night game.

Forest is pretty good. Looking forward to Leicester in a few weeks too.

Don't like Villa or West Ham. Burnley was very good, apart from the pillars!!

Crewe, Bury and Stockport. All kind of local to me and we almost always won. Still have anxiety from Leeds in the 80's when the old bill wouldnt open the gates at the end of the match and I was at the front right next to a giant police horse with a couple of thousand mackems behind me also itching to get out.

You tried sitting in those wooden seats?!?!

I have a soft spot for Portsmouth. Never sat in the Milton End though, always with the home fans. No roof until a few years back.
