are at risk from child sexual exploitation in Greater Manchester - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-29814588 A truly sad state of affairs and this is just one city - bear in mind that there's over 60 cities in the UK let alone how many towns - a truly grim picture starts to emerge! What the answer is to this who knows? - seems Rochdale maybe just the tip of the iceberg - someone in Government needs to get to grips with this situation ASAP
You know, there was one of those police series on last night and they had the helicopter out, the narrator was boasting it's specs and explaining the astronomical cost to put it in the air. They we following car who they suspected were dealing a bit of weed. What a shocking waste of money when they can't even protect innocent children who are being targeted by the most truly evil, dangerous criminal out there. Child rapists. Priorities all ****ing wrong. Makes me Ashamed to be British.
Seen this on the news last night mate, it's astonishing. I won't say what I think of the 'gangs' because I'm running a risk of sounding like a broken record, with regards to the 'people' who get caught doing this type of thing. The days of vigilante groups taking matters into their own hands seriously cannot be far away now, there was the ***** Hunter programme the other week there, but with police dwindling, surely it's only a matter of when not if this will happen.
Need to catch them first. Isn't that the problem? They're doing this unchallenged. Coppers spend millions of resources chasing petty dead end cases which half the time get thrown out of court. Police piss money away on the wrong things. They've got a duty of care to protect these kids and they're failing.
To be fair Bri, I doubt that's all they do with that chopper. There's a massive waste of money in the Home Office mate, much bigger than equipment, I've seen this first hand. The paperwork pen pushers are all too abundant, it's pathetic how the country are taking more and more away from the budgets of nurses, doctors, police, firemen etc and ploughing more into 'admin' so the stats can be manipulated by 'analysts'. I was offered a job by one, 'data analyst' they spend their entire lives listing stabbings as robberies so that they can show knife crime is falling.
You're getting me wrong fella, it's not the use of the resource I'm knocking, it's what they choose to use the resource on. What I watched was a staggering waste of money, they wasted thousands for an oz of weed. If it was in the air to bring a drunk driver to a halt so nobody is killed that's more than ok, it's protecting innocent lives from imminent danger. They don't manage their budgets correctly I agree with you there as well, dirty politics, f**ing disgusting, again priorities all f**ing wrong.
I understood mate, sometimes they send them up for nothing, the pilots need air time to keep them fit for purpose. It's a drain on the budget of course that's better spend on bullets to put in miniguns and randomly unloaded on Rochdale, but Home Office penpushers wouldn't be able to make that look like suicide.
In retrospect I suppose very little will be done as they haven't resolved their own establishment cover-up of child abuse in the 80's -let alone resolving the issue nowadays
Police have been on a loser since the first force was formed. A crime is not a crime until it has been carried out, it is well established though that drugs and their misuse is the underlying factor. Chicken/egg situation etc. We all have the solution and criticism but we do we understand the whole problem.
Do drugs make T total **** muslims in Rotherham want to get their pervert hands on young white meat? I don't get you mate, Drink and drugs will be used to lure, like cigarettes and money will be used, but that still doesn't make it an underlining factor, I don't think that clear cut. There are so many contributors. Parents who don't give a ****, sending their kids into care, scared and damaged by things they've seen as children under their own roof, I think contributes worse. Drugs don't make a nonce' want to rape a child, perversion does. Drink and drugs are nowt but a tool for them, if they didn't exist they'd find other ways. Am I missing something? The problem isn't drugs, it's ****philes, bad parents and the care system surely?
The biggest problem we have in society as a whole is drugs and the need of people to fund it; most of the ways they raise money is through crime and dodgy dealings no matter what form it takes. Agree the problem is not solely drugs but iit is the biggest reason fro crime.
The problem has nothing to do with drugs and everything to do with an adult getting sexual gratification and sexual thoughts with children.
Think both of you have got sidetracked in your defence of drug misuse. The OP was about missing under 18s, later posts condemned police to which I responded. *****s are of course the scum of the earth, but the direction the posts were going about hunting down *****s rather than all criminal activities was a bit off balance. Possibly relevant as it took place in Manchester about 20 years was the murder of a 13 yo black lad in a chip shop. Turns out he was a drugs mule on someone else's territory and he actually had over 40grand in the bank. A criminal is a criminal in my eyes no matter what their offence, alcohol is a drug which enjoy but I control it and do not allow it to control me or my actions. Not all can be said about druggies who cannot control their habit and resort to law breaking.
Na mate you've got the wrong end of the strick. This thread is about rapists who pray on the underage and vulnerable, prior to our communication i was stating why i don't think resources are spent properly through poor decision making. The drugs in my example was a coincidence, it wasn't a cheep attempt to promote drugs at the expense of a serious topic. Here's another example non drug related, I was walking home from the pub down a main street in Darlington with a female friend on a Saturday night. Some lads on bikes threw a can coke over her beck. She went mental screaming at them. With it all being on camera the police were quickly dispatched to the scene. The youths claimed we attacked them physically. Did the police check with the camera there and then to settle it? No, they arrested me and my friend, we had an hour and a half wait just to see the check in desk, the place was full, we were printed, swabed, searched and after another 45 minute wait in a holding area escorted to a cell where we held for over four hours. Eventually the slot opened, 'come and get your things, your free to leave' finally got round to checking the footage and sure enough, we'd done f** all. Now that is waste of resources and man power that could be put towards combating this atrocity. That's my point, nowt about drugs. The Old Bill squander money on every level in a time where the purse string are tight while problems like these spiral out of control. More money is needed to combat this evil and it sure as hell won't come from the Tories.
Child sex exploitation 'social norm' in Greater Manchester! During the inquiry, Stockport MP Ms Coffey spoke to young people who had been approached by men. One told her: "I said: 'Can you not see I am a little girl? I am in my uniform'." Ms Coffey said: "It is an everyday occurrence for [some young girls], something they find deeply upsetting, that older men are approaching them on the street inviting them into cars and in some instances touching them." The girls told her: "Well it happens so often, so many men, what can the police do?" news article here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-29803799 Being a dad of 4 children 3 being girls I find this whole situation alarming & worrying, I hope that my regular chats to my kids regarding their safety and being 'aware' of there surroundings helps - Christ knows how these young children must feel like when just walking to school - its a sad world we live in
A lad from our warehouse was livid in work one day and I asked him what was wrong and he told me his daughter had been walking back from college and a Pakistani tried to drag her into his car. She is a bit of a scrapper and a screamer luckily and she managed to get away, the gaffer wouldn't let him leave cos he thought he was gonna go and murder somebody. Unfortunately, if you let people into your country who believe that under age sex and child prostitution is not taboo, and that women are essentially vermin in their religion, then stats like this are going to go through the roof. I'm not saying they're all Muslim, but the recent trends can't be argued against. I can't comprehend how I would react to somebody like that even looking at a child of mine, I already snap at the ones who stare at my Mrs, you know when you're walking towards a person and they're walking towards you and you see the 'full body scan' that stops at the tits. I can't let that slide, every time I'm on top of them (not literally, just verbally), proper anger management issues with stuff like that.
