I don't like these kits in that list: 1896-1897 1907-1910 b 1931-1932 2 m 1935-1936 b r 1944-1945 b All have red top, white shorts and black socks, a combination associated to a certain team up the road
I'm glad it hasn't changed much. I also prefer the single Liver bird rather than the badge we had for a while.
Shankly changed it to all red kit because he thought it made the players look more intimidating. utd changed to black socks as a sign of respect after Munich. Edit: I always believed that about utd socks but just looked at their historical kits and they've more or less always worn black - don't know where that tale came from then.
Didn't know the part about Munich although your edit suggests otherwise. Would be a nice touch if its true though Didn't Shanks say it made the players look bigger and more intimidating?

dont think i will ever see a better team than the one that wore the crown paints kit, thats just personnel preference though really and the fact i was lucky enough to watch that team.
Yeah mate, completely agree, crown paints, Dalglish and Rushie go hand in hand. Our most iconic kits are probably the Carlsbergs but the very best team and football we played was always crown paints.
Hate Adidas. It's a red Chelsea top which is actually a blue Madrid top which is actually a blah blah blah So generic. I like the Warrior home kits, the other two generally grow on you. Didn't like the wetsuit one though.
What the feck is a 'fumler' when it's at home?? Like all three of those but doubt they're the actual versions, it'll be some bod in photoshop's creation. Made my thoughts on NB clear on another thread. Good supplier and brand to be with right now, has a niche style appeal and is a very 'in' brand so we would shift shirts to the casual buyer and general footie fan. Think the long term plan should be to attract the super big bucks of a Nike or Adidas though. The kits are basically templates and boring yeah but no other brands have the ability to penetrate the global market like they do. They're huge world renowned multinational companies. NB doesn't have those sort of financial resources or the marketing possibilities, nor are they as visible in the public consciousness, but the style factor and exclusivity of having a supplier that no other team has (? ) is very unique right now.
