I'm not so sure, it's scheduled for 22 episodes which is too long and I feel they might do an Arrow season 1 and end up losing the plot with too many fillers.
Did you stick it out with Arrow in the end then? I thought you'd stopped watching part way through the first season? Actually, that's a good comparison. Arrow started off with a different bad guy in each episode and they quickly realised its very difficult to maintain so started to spread the bad guys out instead. I hope Gotham does the same, especially since they're focusing on character development so much too.
Hammy acting definition: completely over acting, or basically just bad acting. [are you familiar with the term 'hamming it up' in relation to acting, I think it comes from that]. Real contrast to Arrow btw which I've enjoyed since ep.1.
Thanks I think the acting is good in Gotham, not the best I've seen but still decent. I've loved Arrow but the acting IS 'hammy' in that
You sort of expect it to be because it's Comic characters but Gotham is just maybe trying too hard whereas acting in Arrow seems more natural - could be because there's more 'real' people in it, but I'm not enjoying Gotham at all. Will give it another couple of goes then abandon if it doesn't improve. Have you really not heard of acting being called 'hammy' - maybe it's a generational thing http://www.theguardian.com/film/filmblog/2014/may/01/hammy-baddies-film-kiefer-sutherland-pompeii
Nope. New thing to me but nor have I been a massive TV / film fan for years either. Only really started watching things over the last couple of years
Blame the kids. Not much time for anything else when you've little ones needing you all day long. Bet you're an expert on Sponge Bob though
The youngest loves Peppa Pig and there is a dedicated channel for it too I just go on the PC with the headphones
Will you be watching The Flash? I will probably do catch up, do that on most things so as to avoid the adverts.
Already been watching The Flash and The Arrow each week. I download them both on a Thursday night and watch them both in the right order because there is the occasional slight cross over between the two. With the way the last episode of the Arrow ended, Felicity will be visiting The Flash this week
I thought Flash was starting tonight, and Arrow on Thursday Haven't watched either yet but hoping Flash is as good as Arrow. Going back to 'hammy' did you ever see the Adam West Batman series? Obviously I don't mean when they were originally on.
I've been downloading both I saw some of it (actually watched some last year too as it was on the box) but nowhere near all of it.
Surely one of the most hammy series ever, with a well deserved place in TV history. Although it's often only looking back at something that makes you realise how bad the acting was - I loved it at the time though
I finally got American Horror story series 2 delivered but it was bluray and it said my player needed updating, its connected to the internet but wouldnt update, my DVD player plays all other blurays. Anyway ive sent it back and ordered the normal dvd of it Anyway, put Dark Knight Rises bluray version on (still got 40 mins left to watch so no spoilers please) and must say very impressed with Bane In the comic he is twice the size but they've done him brilliant here Im a bit behind as we dont get much time to watch films, im still with love film in the post and prefer that to streaming as I have a massive list and like not knowing what I'll be sent in the post is good Reminds me of choosing a video in the shop back in the day when I add titles to my list
