swansea are a real club who respect the competition. LFc want to pretend they are big and not care so the sum total of achievement being last 16 of cl and 4th becomes trophies. real silverware is LFC way... nothing else.
To be fair, if I had to choose, I'd rather be consistently top 4 than mid-table with the occasional COC triumph. I'd still rather we took all competitions seriously, though.
Unfortunately, you need a squad like Man City's but with heart to be able to go for all competitions nowadays.
i would have to only conclude that.......... if we were consistently top 4 we would win more than an occasional league cup.... however......... right now.. .we need a trophy. we can't be going since 2011 since one.. c'mon
